I don't watch Doctor Who (a horrible mistake that I keep meaning to rectify), but even I recognize David Tennant. Why are they dropping him? Did something happen to the 10th incarnation?
You have to be honest with yourself when you are writing. If that leads to somewhere unexpected then perhaps you really needed to go there.

I believe David Tennant feels it's time to move on, and that's why the eleventh incarnation. I do kind of feel like the new one's too young, but I felt that way about the ninth and tenth, too. XD The eighth I was too young to really notice how young he was. I approve of the companion's shirt, although it doesn't actually appear to be made out of flannel. I can't say I think much of the elevenths' hair... But we'll see how they go on-screen.

David Tennant feels that it is time to move on as they have a new producer and everything.
I do have a feeling that the master may have something to do with his demise.
Hint: "Doctor your song is ending, and he will knock 4 times"
What do you think is it the Sound of Drums?

Officer 1BDI - watch it! It'll be good to start watching with the new doctor, as every time they get a new companion, they explain the basics of the series again. I'm also a bit concerned about the 'handing over' period... usually when the cast changes, they have a period where there is an old Doctor and a new companion, or an old companion and a new Doctor, so that the change of cast isn't so abrupt, and that the audience has got a frame of reference. It'll be interesting to see how they handle it, given spoilerspoilerspoiler.
I thought the "he" referred to the Doctor himself... After all, the hand of the Rani picked up the Master's ring... XP The Rani's a female nemesis of the Doctor from way back...

I haven't watched Dr. Who myself, but I have seen promotional pictures and... I agree, this guy's way too young. And he looks like he's putting on some crazy, nasty face.

My opinion? I don't watch Dr. Who, I just think this new one (Matt Smith) is fit.

Thanks, Laura, that was exactly the word I was thinkerating of. It seems the Doctor may be his breakout role?
I'm kind of annoyed that the Doctor has become a sexy hero... He was always a father figure when I was little, and suddenly he becomes rather cute and dances with all his companions?
Also, gee my poll's looking dated... link.

He was in the Ruby in the Smoke as Katy Lockharts (Billie Piper) assistant.

Billie Piper was on TV again? Damn, I need to watch more TV, I like her. I remember hearing a rumour that she was going to be the eleventh Doctor... There'll probably never be a female Doctor, (prove me wrong, Aunty!) but I would like to see more male companions.
