Water polo isn't a school sport for me though. It's a community program. Me being homeschooled and all. Do not upset the ugly worm, lest it be a dragon in disguise. (>oo)> |

In high school, we had two kinds of school sports - the kind they made us do in lesson time, and the kind they made us do on Wednesday afternoons, which we could choose ourselves, from a short (and mostly expensive) list. For the latter, I always chose ping-pong in the summer and lawn bowls in the winter, because they were either cheap or free, because I figured "why should I pay a large sum of money for something I don't like doing anyway?" - the only one I kind of regret not trying was "beach walking" (also cheap), because I was self-conscious. I don't remember much about primary school sports, except that I hated gymnastics (which was just for the girls) with a passion. The balance beam was soo high... And they made us wear skirts for sport in primary school. Where is the sense in that? Given that I gave up on the monkey bars at school as soon as I twigged the boys could see my undies/shorts, I believe firmly that uniforms for girls should always include a pants option.
