Strangeo Forum When You Leave (Poem)    Tea Queen Laura        6/30/2008 I wasn't sure whether to put this in Writings or not... I wrote this in the early hours of this morning. A hypothetical question for you all - if you received this as a gift, would you be pleased? It's for someone dear to me, you see - but I've never given poems as gifts before. When You Leave When you leave, half of me always goes too. With only one eye, I cannot sleep, I lie here with thoughts of you so deep. With only one ear, I cannot hear, Your voice remains with me, soft but clear. With only one arm, I cannot hold, Those nights you hug me close when I?m cold. With only one leg, I cannot walk, The fun times we're out, we laugh and talk. When you leave, half my heart always goes too, Whilst the other half stays here, calling you. Penny for your thoughts?   Dreamnorn   6/30/2008 I would be crying if I received that, because it sounds SO sweet. :') It would be the kind of thing I'd place in my scrapbook and treasure twenty years in the future. ^^ It's amazing to feel as though someone cares that much about you. I wrote the poem inside a card, which later turned out to be a birthday card, oops. I had to cross it out and put 'Happy Birthday 3 Month Anniversary!' instead, but that just made him laugh so it doesn't matter. Gave it to him yesterday.   Draconorn   7/3/2008 Aww, that's amazing!
