The other day when my dad, my brother and me were cleaning out our shed, we found a huge spider. It was horrible..... I'm not really a fan of spiders, but I think Jumping Spiders are cute. Has anyone else had an experience like me? |

Interesting approach to try and liven forums. . . Does studying, collecting, and preserving count? Because then yes - I've had daily experiences like that. Not as much as other insects like moths - But yeah. Consider it an entomologist thing.

Sounds fascinating. When I get a job I'd love to study animals but I wouldn't be able to touch or hold a Wolf Spider such as lycosa as they freak me out. I'd probably be able to hold a tarantula though. |

When I was about five or six, I came nose to nose with a redback. These ones are particularly bad because of secondary infections and that I've heard, you are in blistering agony for at least the first full day after the bite. I backed away from the spider before it saw me and then I ran screaming all over the playground to try to find the teacher (who, of course, was at the other end of the playground and I couldn't find her). She killed the spider with a broomstick.

Two terms ago, in art class, we were about to clean up when we realized there was a huge brown recluse in the corner. Everyone in the room was terrified exept for my teacher and I. I dropped a rolling pin on it. ^-^
