Can anyone direct me to a site that has a thorough explanation of Nornish? Like one that shows how to say and write all the words, and what they mean? If there is a site like that? It's just that a lot of people I know already know how to speak it and I'd like to learn how to talk to them. Thanks!

Try Bonnieshee's website, she has some translations there. Check her profile. |

The catalogue files for DS have a thorough list of what the stuff like "flib" and "ba" means, but really it's all nothing more than which ones are verbs, nouns, and etc. |

It's funny. I never thought of Nornish as the baby language the Norns speak. I always associated it with the actual sounds the make.
Like "chin-rah-doh" means food.
At one point I'd figured out a lot of words in "Nornish," but I've lost the list. Dang.
It was pretty cool, because words that were spelled similar sounded similar too. |

Hopefully this is valuable enough to bump this thread:

I believe the most common name for the language is "Bibble".

For anyone who's interested, here's a conversation from 1997 discussing what certain words sound like, and trying to figure out how sound patterns were determined. Interesting to see some of the tactics they tried to use.
