Strangeo Forum Need Chars. for Dragon Story    Dreamnorn      7/9/2007 I've been inspired by GrendelMan to make a story like he makes his stories: I'm going to "recruit" Creatures Caves members for a Dragon story. This story takes place in Mythos, a magical land of Dragons and other fantasy creatures. Mythos is an Earth-sized realm that you can enter through a portal guarded by a magical mountain lioness. Mythos has an icy land on top, a large continent-island land mass full of forests and lakes, and plenty of volcanic islands. There's even an island that's not far off the cost of the main land. I've taken careful consideration for the plot, but I haven't decided the plot for the actual story. Would you like to be a Dragon in the story I'll write? All I need is a profile on what your Dragon will be called, a description on its physical features, its characteristics, and it's magic. For the n00bs who have never done this before, below is a demonstration of what a profile would look like (I based it off of one of the characters that will be in the story)... (I just did it in green for fun ): Name: Vexus Magic: Bubble (defense magic) Physical features: Has pleasant green scales with yellow-green highlights. Is very old and only seven feet tall. Has kitty-padded paws and has wings far too small for flight capability. Curled horns on head and a diamond-style tail tip. He carries a knobby staff around. Characteristics: Is very old and wise, but can be vague sometimes. He's been around a lot and teaches young Dragons powerful defensive magic. As a Dragon elder, he inspires his pupils into doing what at first would seem impossible. Hawksight   Wup   7/9/2007 I'll stay out of this. Violet eyes, long horns like icicles, large wings and a very long tail. Characteristics: Bitter and angry, she has very few friends but the friends she does have are very close. His horns are medium length and stick straight back. He also has fairly large wings and a long tail. His tail doesn't have anything at the end of it. Characteristics: A cold-hearted, cynical, loner with a short temper. He has a tendency to make mountains out of molehills. Name: Viara Magic: Healing, Darkness Physical Features: Viara is a female dull olive anthro dragon with bloodshot red eyes. She has longish ivory-colored horns that are cracked with wear. She has mediumish sized wings and a long tail ended with a small spiked arrow. She wears a tattered red trenchcoat, origins unknown to everyone exept her. She's very secretive about it. Characteristics: On a planet filled to the brim with dragons, Viara is an unusual fellow. Whilst most dark dragons are cunning killers, Viara is a kind soul who is always helping out. This won her the title of queen of Candrikar, her home planet. She has a very short temper, though, and can breathe black fire when angry. She can also shapeshift, her favorite morphs being a black werewolf, a lion, and a fox. Viara is a good swordswoman, and has a large scimitar that she always carries at her belt. ps. All of these characters will be heroes in their own way in the story. I'm pretty much done getting new characters, but if I'm in desperate need of a "temporary" Dragon character, then I'll ask for one in the soon-to-be-a-reality topic, my Dragon story! Woohoo! ...But, before I write anything, I need your honset opinion on two questions: 1. What do you think this story would be called? I was thinking the plot would be sort of a team in shambles that are on a quest to vanquish the darkness arising in Mythos once and for all. You have any ideas on a good title? 2. I don't know how to make polls or anything, but I must know: do you think that Noxor (profile below) would make a good bad guy (should I change his name or power or anything)? Name: Noxor Powers: Dark Magic, Mind Control, Earth Magic, Morphing, and venom-spit. Pysical Features: He has black scales with dark purple highlights. His face is narrowed -- almost triangular looking -- and his horns are a dark, murky gray color and swerve upwards. He has huge wings and a long tail (no special tail-tip). His claws are about a foot long and are sharper than the strongest sword. Characteristics: He is the lord of all things evil; his hunger for power and ambition to drive Mythos into darkness is greater than that of a standard supervillain. He has a raspy, deep voice. His history is vague except by Dragon Elders. Most of the other Dragons just spread rumors about his appearance (some say he is the son of the Devil, raised in the firey pits of Hell. Others say that he was the creation of a long-dead sorceror). He can morph into any creature, but prefers his own form most of all. ...you like the supervillain? Hawksight   Wup   7/12/2007 I added something to mine... Might it be an idea to make this an RP? Viara's character is rather hard to describe. She's a very complex character, and I think I could express that better through a role play. Hawksight, you haven't role played here yet. If you never have, it's the best thing in the world. If you decide to ignore my suggestion, I don't really want Viara in your stoy. Sorry, she's like a part of me, I don't really want someone else choosing what she does... ps. Before long, we have a story written by two people! I created a dragon RP in strangeo. Might anyone want to come? ps. I haven't played Monster Raannnrrrnnchhdoggy   Dreamnorn   7/13/2007 I DEFINATELY found that, you can be sure... at first, I thought that the Roll Playing game was an online thing, like Toontown or W.O.W. Stupid me. Then I thought logically: It must be a game that involves typing and writing like any other, so I guessed it'd be just that. I'll be going there often. Very often. Anyway, I think we should vote: do you want me to make the story when we have the roll play? I just need enough "Yes"'s to post up the first chapter or enough "No"'s to stop the story all together. I seriously think that the RP will be more fun for all of us. You can just post your character there and your bit of the story... and BAM! Viola! A story has been written by everyone! ((RP is also a good thing because it prevents anger from other users... sometimes, when one submits a character, the character is sometimes slightly -- maybe even very -- different from the character submitted in the profile. If I do that, it would be by accident, but I don't want to dissapoint any of you.)) Hawksight   KC11     7/23/2007 I wanna be in it! I am a natural dragon char, so... Name: KC11 Age: 9 (in this story. I am trying to create a timeline for the fanfic KC11. This story, for me, takes place before the warp. I donno how KC ends up in a land of dragons, but.... ah well.) Gender: Female Species: Dragon Breed: Morphic Lightning (can breathe lightning and shapeshift. Shapeshifting requires energy, more energy for larger, complex animals.) Notes: Is actually a born human, but for the intents and perposes of this story, she is stuck as a dragon until the end. Personality: She mostly is kind and creative, but if you anger her, expect the worst.... Sidekicks: Demetris, a draconian norn who is mischevious and slightly demented, and Jesten, a poor little bengel norn who is always being tormented by Demetris. Both are immortal in some terms. They cannot kill each other and will never age, but there is one thing that will kill them: A blue rock called Kytopian. Do not upset the ugly worm, lest it be a dragon in disguise. (>oo)>   Dreamnorn   7/25/2007 KC11, a better idea would be to make your character in the 'Dragon Roleplay' section of Strangeo. I don't want to dissapoint you if I accidentally (or maybe even purposely) change your character a bit. It's a much better idea, seriously. Hawksight
