Is the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtes movie any good?
It just came out in NZ, and the ads for it look interesting. Is TMNT a movie worth seeing? |

Meh, I have no interest in it, but my oldest brother is dying to see it.
But he likes the most stupid movies sometimes...

I like Teenage, etc, Turtles!
I have these old cartoon videos, called Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles. Can anybody remember those? Or am I just wierd? |

I've heard it's fairly plotless, but since when has that ever stopped anyone from liking a movie? Thing is, neither of my brothers want to go to see it, so I don't have a plausible excuse.

I watch movies like this for the graphics and explosions, but a plot would be nice. Ah well.
From what I've seen, the animating is brilliant. |

Yuck! Turtles.. are... creepy, and... they... eat faces of hippos.. and you know...
Just kidding. The comercials look pretty good and gothic (forgive) and I haven't yet seen master Splinter. Did they take him out? 'Hope not. I like rats.

Yeah, I saw him. He's great in CGI. I convinced my little brothers not to see it in the theaters, but I'll bet they'll drag us to buy the DVD. Ugh.

Well, TMNT will have to wait. We've already been to the movies to see POTC3.
To be honest I prefer POTC to TMNT ^-^

Back on topic - feel free to create another topic about the new Harry Potter movie.
You know, I never watched TMNT as a kid...Can someone explain to me the general gist of it please? I don't even know what they do. |

Me neither.
It's just one of those crime fighting things. You have some good guys and some bad guys. They fight. The bad guys win. Boo hoo. The good guys track down the bad guys and they have one last battle for some rare artifact. The good guys win. Yay. Then the show is over. That's how most boys' shows are these days. I'd know.

You nailed it in one, ES. I'd know, I'm a Tomboy XD
I still like these things even if they all have pretty much the same plot. |

Yeah. Power Rangers has a bad habit to stick to my boys' show guidelines above.

I think it was a fairly good movie. My brother thinks its to die for, but I don't think that as much...
Still, it might be worth buying on DVD, depending on if you like it or not.
