Having a history somewhere of all the Creatchis a user's owned could be cool? |

I'm not sure if I want to adopt a higher gen, where I know what species and gender that I'll be getting, or have a go at a randomly generated first gen. The Ettinchi managed to grow on me! ![[nlaugh] [nlaugh]](/images/smilies/emot_laugh.gif)
It's sad to see all of our old creatchi go, but at least we know that they've lived long fulfilling lives. Not sure why they all have that deadpan look in their funeral photos though. No puns intended in the previous sentence.
From the look of my frog's updated biography thingy, though, I might have finally gotten around one of my blocks!

It's hard to leave the party, even when you know you're going home...? |

I dunno; the funeral image looks like it's supposed to be an old photo, but if so then none of the Creatchis enjoy having their pictures taken!
That or it could be because almost every Creature in the games seems to frown just as you photograph them. |

Update
A user can now only adopt a generation 2+ Creatchi if:
- He or she has raised a Creatchi in the past
- The most recent Creatchi that he or she has raised lived to Senile age
Sorry that it took me so long to get this feature implemented. I hope no baby Creatchis are hurt as a result of the delay.

Having a well accessible Creatchi history would be nice, and seeing a better expression on Creatchis who died of old age would also be nice.
Anyone else catch the two green Grendelchis who had a brown baby? Sure is interesting.

Haha, excellent! I was a little worried that Tiana might of gone to the wrong hands, but thankfully Grendel Man is very trustworthy! I think most of the Gen 2 babies will survive ok, but there might be a lot of competition from here! |

I think, I'll admit, I'm going to eye on getting my gal a cool colored mate. Just for the competitive fun of it An orange or an icy blue male. (if such exists. . )

Karias wrote: Having a well accessible Creatchi history would be nice, and seeing a better expression on Creatchis who died of old age would also be nice. What do you mean by "well accessible Creatchi history?" And originally I had Creatchis in the graveyard smile, but it just feels awkward. Dead things don't usually smile.
Update
Creatchis in the graveyard are now depicted at the appropriate age of death, rather than simply as an adult.
This also led me to notice an interesting observation: There are zero dead baby Creatchis in the graveyard. This means that all Creatchis, even those 100% neglected by their owners, still live to be at least a child before dying.

I noticed death always happens with full neglection at 3 days 6-8 hours.
Well, once we get into gen 3 and above, it's going to be a lot of clicking to see how back the family tree goes. If there was an easier way to view that, that would be nice. Right now it would be clicking from one to the next link just to go down the generations. Plus I'd imagine once 2nd gen have spouses and babies, the info on the side would be too much for the table. That would be 4 lines of family information, where right now it seems only 2 can fit. I don't know if you've already tested a 3rd gen baby out and the table organization looked fine, I was just figuring it will eventually be a lot of clutter.

So far, it looks like it that it may take approximately three hours for a Creatchi egg to hatch. I can't say for sure that that is how long that it really takes because I was timing my own egg. <.<
Definitely need more volunteer data on the subject of Creatchi incubation.

Creatchi Child services! If a creatchi child isn't cared for at all for two days, it goes back for adoption! I'm watching Iljusjva and Dino's child slowly die now, and it's more than just a little frustrating. |

Definitely glad to hear about the updates that limit adoption of 2nd gen Creatchis. I'm sure it'll give future Creatchi parents more peace of mind

Creatchi stats (just out of interest - and procrastination!)
Total creatchis: 86 (47 female, 39 male)
72 first generation, 14 second generation. All the second gens are currently alive.
The total is made up of 32 nornchi (18F, 14M), 32 grendelchi (17F, 15M), 22 ettinchi (12F, 10M)
Of the 42 in the graveyard, 8 were abandoned at birth, and 19 had died naturally of old age.
Total living creatchis: 44
This is made up of 15 nornchi (9F, 6M), 19 grendelchi (10F, 9M), 10 ettinchi (7F, 3M).
Breedable numbers are slightly lower as some 1st gens have already bred but lost partners. |

I came in too late. ALL Gen 2 eggs are taken! Altrough since there are some single fertile Firstgens, the problem might be solved soon. |

13 grendelchi, 7F, 6M
12 ettinchi, 5F, 7M |

</3 So many Creatchis are dying of old age.
Is anyone else having trouble with gifts?
Two separate people sent me balls and neither of them got put into my inventory under normal circumstances. First, Bifrost sent me one. I didn't have any before that, and I didn't have any in my inventory afterwards either. I waited and kept checking for about a day and it didn't show up. Then I commented somewhere and earned a ball. I checked my inventory to see that I only had one - the one I'd just earned. Then I used that ball up and, poof, out of nowhere the one Bifrost sent me replaced the earned one when I used it up. And now I've just gotten one from LXStylzes and it's not appearing in my inventory no matter what I do. |

Another strange glitch is that green + green = BROWN?? |

Draggy

I don't think it was a glitch Puddini. I think it was intentional for us to be shown that mutations and recessive genes still play a part of Creatchis |

But still, green + green = brown just... It doesn't make sense. |

Neither does brown + brown = white, but it still happens often enough in nature... genetics don't always have to be plain-jane. ![[ntongue] [ntongue]](/images/smilies/emot_tongue.gif)

Okay, am I nuts or are the Creatchis in the graveyard suddenly of varying ages? o.o
Before they all appeared as adults, but now I'm seeing Creatchis who died as varying ages. Fyre appears as an adolescent even though he died of old age! 0_o

Senile creatchis used to use the same sprites as they did in adolescence before Rascii gave them white hair! I don't know why that change didn't carry over to the graveyard though . . . |

I'm glad to know that you can't socialize with the same creature twice in a row, I was wondering what was going on.
And I agree, I wouldn't mind the creatures fallen from old age to not look so morose.

Senile Creatchis are slightly larger than adolescent Creatchis, though slightly smaller than adult Creatchis. Fyre shows up as senile, though the hair isn't grey in the graveyard.
At this time please refrain from posting suggestions. My enjoyment of visiting Creatures Caves decreases significantly when all I see are supposed bugs and features that people want every day. I'll post a suggestions thread later on when I'm ready to implement more new features.
As far as I know there is no bug with the gifting feature at this time.

What about some kinda challenges or mini games? The more healthy and happy your Creatchi, the better will it do them. They'd offer a fun aspect or maybe a social one (such as a big fat +2 boost to social when done in teams or with a competitor).
The "mini games" wouldn't directly need to be actual games where you personally control actions. Well, maybe they could, that you have to do tasks similar as in the original creatures games, but I actually thought that the user just watches them in form of a small animation, a la Monster Rancher Advance.
Perhaps you could win neat items too when you are sufficiently good...
