omg! I ADORE Colin Firth in Bridget Jones. He's so awkward and adorable. Coincidentally, if they ever made another Hunchback of Notre Dame movie, I would really really really want to see Colin Firth play Frollo. I think he has those intense eyes and he's all awkward and i think he's perfect. mm-hmm. Yes, I'm the forum ![[devil]](/images/smilies/devil.gif "[devil]") ... *gives kiss of life to topic* So, I finally went and saw Star Trek. It was very exciting, although in parts it felt a bit pat. I was very pissed off at the way Uhura was written... spoilerspoiler She's like "sod off Kirk, I am smart", and then she's all kissy-face with Spock, her teacher? BAAAAH. She became "The Girlfriend", rather than a character who happens to be dating someone.  endspoilerspoilerMy TCR Norns |

Gads, I want to see the Star Trek movie. ;A; I'm also eager to see Up, which I've been pestering my dad to take me to for a week or so now. Everyone who's seen it says that it's amazing. I think the idea seems a bit quirky from afar (but then again, I play "Plants vs. Zombies", so who am I to nag?), but practically everyone is saying good things about it. Even the harsh critic site Rotten Tomatoes has given it 98% approval. Too bad I have no time or money to go to the movies right now. Maybe I'll mow the neighbor's lawn or something.  |

I loved the Star Trek movie. i admittedly really like the new Spock. I want to see the next Harry Potter movie. I kinda wonder whether they'll cut the Lupin and Tonks romance out. If they do, I'll be upset because Lupin is one of my favorite characters and my favorite in the half-blood prince for sure. Dreamnorn: You need to see UP. Whether or not your dad is willing to take you you need to find a way to see that movie because it is brilliant. Re: Uhura- I was just so relieved to see she wasn't pared with Kirk that I didn't even bat an eye at her relationship with Spock. Also: Simon Pegg made everything even remotely stupid about that movie instantly forgivable.  You have to be honest with yourself when you are writing. If that leads to somewhere unexpected then perhaps you really needed to go there. -- Jim Adkins |

Starscream, ah, so this is why I don't watch movies any more. I'll just be curling up with Alien, then. Why does Uhura have to be paired with someone? Having her explicitly get her place on the Enterprise because she's in a relationship with Spock is dodgy... I'll admit though, I was relieved that Spock kissed Uhura back, though. Simon Pegg was adorable as Scotty, and so was Karl Urban as Bones. My TCR Norns |
