Oh I know! It would be cool if you used the secondary nametags to show which creature was sent by who like Amaikokonut did.

That's exactly what I do already. Unfortunately, not many people send creatures so it's rare when even 1 creature has a secondary tag.

Ah, my bad, I didn't realize.
Out of interest, what became of my grendels? Are any of those colourful grendels I've been seeing decedents of mine?
I understand if you don't know, since the stream is mostly AFK afterall. |

I think they may have had a few offspring but they've all since shuffled off the mortal coil. The game typically runs overnight as well, so I can't always keep an eye on things.

I was about to get some more grendels from that same bloodline but realized they probably don't do well because animal matter is the only reliable source of protein for them. I should probably save them for the aquatic run. Unless you've got a different world with lots of critters and bugs. |

I've only got one world dedicated to the stream and that's the one with the docked world and C1toDS added.
You're welcome to suggest creatures that would be good for them to eat, however.

I would like to make a small announcement!
Not only is the stream back but it has a new schedule.
Expect the stream to be on from 12 PM to 9 PM PST all days of the week. Twitch automatically saves the recordings so if you've missed out, be sure to check them on twitch.tv/dailycf's Past Broadcasts page. Twitch has deleted all of my videos in the time that I've been away but don't worry! There is always more to come.
Also, real quick, thanks to KittyTikara for sending in so many creatures right at launch! I'm sad to say the first norns you sent didn't survive long but Warehouse seems to be alive and kicking (butt).
EDIT: I realize I just said the stream should start at about 12 PM but it generally starts before then. What I mean is expect it to start at 12 at the latest.

I didn't figure the new Anai Stingers would make it through your IQ test. The only way I've gotten them to pass is to give them a little bit of food before I send them through. Also I might train a new fighting Norn to kill of some more of your Ettins. You still have quite a few of them.
If fact, what's going on with the Ettins? Are they immortal, or just annoyingly good at breeding?
Edit: Also I just saw Warehouse is still alive and kicking. XD Awesome!

They're both, unfortunately. :C I've been trying to weed them out (by hand... uuugh!) but the problem is that they get to breed before the system knows that they're immortal.

So glad to hear that DCF is alive and kicking again! Thanks, Kezune! Here's to big and better things for our much-needed Creatures stream. The old videos may have been deleted, but I can't wait to see what new events are to come! |

I think you can hightlight things to keep them for longer on Twitch. Another stream I watch sometime highlights whole videos to keep them archived.

i have an idea for a series of agents that collects every toy, fruit/seed/food, egg. etc. in the world and places them where it stands.
if i could program an agent that sorted creatures, i've give them to you so you could put it above the piranha pool... cruel, i know, but it does its job... |

Laura: Thank you!
Kitty Tikara: Highlights can still expire. I've just been gone for that long.
FlyingEttiNorn: That sounds interesting but I don't think the stream would have a use for it.

Kezune, how are you off for norns for the DCF? I've just sorted all mine out from the wolfling run, and I've got all the 2nd gens who didn't make the cut for part 2 of the run - nearly 100 creatures. Standard breeds plus golden desert norns, Sphinx and Sahara. |

I have no creatures in the queue whatsoever and the stream is being overrun with ettins. I'd be happy to take as many as you'd like to send.

They've all arrived safely and I'm slowly adding them to the stream. Until my new RAM arrives I'm afraid I can't just throw them all into the game (though that would be interesting!)
If you were curious, I'm adding your name and the owner's name in the creatures' tags. That excel sheet was hugely helpful.

Excellent! (Do you want to host all my wolfling runs? )
ETA: I think I trained those norns to speak, btw - so they might teach your ettins. Daffy Road had a gait mutation, IIRC - there's a note that there was some kind of non-fatal genetic quirk there. |

I've got a playlist of videogame music playing for the stream. How are you guys liking it?

Makes a nice change from the grim C3 music!
(Actually, those norns are a lot younger than I remembered - they might not have been taught vocab.) |

i liked the forest maze music
also maybe try putting a few normal ettins in the population to see if the immortality could be bred out through a stroke of luck? |

I've loved the music so far. Are some of the songs from the ocremix site? Some of it sounds familiar.

I definitely really like the video game music. Do you plan on adding more to the playlist as time goes on? I can make suggestions.
I suggest just killing all the ettins and starting over with a fresh batch of non-mutable CFE ettins. If I ever get the urge to do some gengineering in the near feature, I might send you some.

GMan - That is a great suggestion and I think I'll do just that. There are a lot of them still in-egg but they can't be too hard to weed out, I hope.
KittyTikara - It might be. I'm using SupraDarky's "Relaxin' with SD" playlist.
FlyingEttiNorn - I think I'll be using GMan's suggestion.
EDIT: I forgot to add that I've already 'fixed' all of the genomes on my PC to have normal aging genes. I should double check to make sure they aren't mutable.

Hello again! Sorry about the on and offness of the stream lately. Getting tangled up in starting a business and my regular, monthly hormonal shift have a nasty habit of getting in the way of my hobbies.
Anyway, the stream should be following its PST noon to nine at night schedule again, with the exceptions of weekends which will be erratic. (This includes Fridays.)

i've still got some eggs of a fairly sucsessful c3 wolf run laying around, they're all mostly hybrids of norns/grendles, with some distant Ettin dDNA in them, but they're still Norns. granted the eggs were taken from around the decline of the species, so i don't know if they'll be fertile or not but you never know. Do i need to have a docked world to send them over? |

C3 standalone creatures can be imported just fine into DS worlds, if that's what you're wondering about.

The easiest way to do it is to hatch them, export them, move their files into a .zip file and then email them along.
If you aren't sure where to find your creatures' files when you export them, make sure you check your Creatures 3/My Creatures folder.
