 | Earl is a TWB Norn from my survival Wolfling Run. He caught my eye when I noticed him eating a lot of bugs after hatching, upon closer inspection he appeared to have an eating disorder and I thought that he would die quickly from heart disease. Luckily he grew out of it and managed to lose a lot of weight.
He is part of a small group of creatures who have adapted to living in the desert ruins. Like them, he has lost the gene that caps his glycogen storage and has a faulty receptor which makes him always cold.
He is obsessed with the Norn Home. |

It means he can store more glucose, so if he eats lots of starchy food in one go he won't get starch hunger again for longer than a regular creature would. Beyond that I don't know, there is no diabetes mechanism, but he seems to function fine now.

What are the effects of losing the glycogen cap?
