C3/DS Linux Console Tools C3DS Papriko | 6/27/2014 | 2 |
| type | Program | | author | CDN | | updated | 2/11/2017 | Technically not COBs, but bash scripts. These tools use a tiny program called netcat in order to communicate with the TCP interface that Creatures 3 and Docking Station provide on Linux. That way, CAOS scripts can be sent from other programs right into the game and the output can be evaluated. Originally being available from the Creatures Development Network, the site is sadly down and so I decided to upload these scripts myself.
Included are:
MiniCAOS: A handy CAOS console which works a lot like the ingame one. Write commands, hit enter and they are instantly executed ingame.
Monitor: This watches the debug messages sent by agents with the dbg: outs and dbg: outv commands.
Debugger: To be honest, I am not quite sure what this does, but apparently it constantly watches which script a chosen agent is currently running. |

Update 2: Welp, now the site IS down like I initially stated. This is pretty sad, but at least we have this download here...

Update: I was told that even though the site itself is not in best form, the downloads are still available.
Well, at least they are now easier to find.
