| Maika's egg was laid a while ago, and had not been adopted for a long time. She lay inside her egg, learning what she could of the outside world. She learned the Creatchi language, she learned of the workings of the world, she learned of the three species that inhabit the realm, and she learned who she was. In the time she waited there, her parents had already passed, as had her brother. She did not know of her brother, but she did know of her parents. All she knew of them was their colors, and that her mother wished for friends, but this was enough.
Maika was adopted by someone she only knew as Tarilithina, who kept her fed and rested, but did not intervene in her life. She hatched then, and created a home. When she was old enough to walk, she traveled. She knew her parents would either want to be in a desert, being ettins, or near civilization, to have friends, so she walked to the nearest house. Within the house, she found Tazer, a wise blue ettinchi, who restored her from her weary state after her travels, taught her about her ancestry, and asked a promise of her to find his children and teach them what she knew of him. With this new knowledge, she did what she could to uphold the promise, and then went out into the world.
On her travels, she met Finwë, a black ettinchi who had spent his life hiding in the dark. She took his hand and led him out into the lighted world, teaching him about it and and learning who he was. From that moment, they had fallen in love, and they married and had two eggs together.
They had many a good day together, and one night while they were stargazing, a draconian grendelchi broke into Maika's home to steal a book of black magic. Maika, who had no experience with this, called upon Finwë for help, but she was growing elderly, and died before they reached the house. She was gone before she could finish what she had started, but she had a good life nonetheless, and wished only for this:
"I hope that Finwë can be spared from grief for me.
I hope that my children can be adopted and know at least one of their parents, since they cannot know both.
I hope that Tazer's children live well and learn my knowledge of him.
I hope that I may meet my parents in the afterlife."
With this final statement, Maika passed away into the unknown. Maika has joined her parents again. |

Mélian Luthienne walks through the forest when she finds an old house. She opens the door and sticks her head inside to see what is in the house. Since it was night and there was no light in the house, Mélian Luthienne could only see some vague shapes lighten up by the moon. She finds a candle and lights it up. While going through the house she finds an old photograph on a chest. She picks it up and starts to realize the two Ettinchi's on the photograph might be her parents. The black Ettinchi looks like her dad as she has seen him in ghost appearance. "That would mean the other Ettinchi is my mom.." she whispers. She puts the photograph back on the chest and walks to the door on the backside of the room. She opens it and sees a beautiful garden full of wild flowers. While she walks through the garden she finds a corner where two sunflowers are planted. Next to every sunflower there is a thombstone with an inscription. She reads them out loud: "Finwë", "Maika". She kneels down on her moms grave and starts to cry. One tear falls on the ground and as soon as it touched the earth, a little white flower grew out of the ground. She takes it and puts it in her hair. "I will never ever forget about you.." she sais.

Oh! I was just so busy these days I didn't had any time for rp. Now it's too late.

Rest well, Maika. I hope for your wishes to be granted.

I just realized that Maika is senile. It always seems so soon...
Maika hugs Finwë back, and explains what happened. "After dropping you off here I went back to my house and I realized that my stuff was all moved around and the most plausible explanation was another creatchi and they must have been searching for something and I don't know what or if they found it and they might still be there and they might be dangerous and I'm scared so I came back here to get you because I don't know what to do." She says this all in a rush, holding Finwë's hand tightly.

Finwë opens his window and sticks his sleepy head out of it: "Who is there?" he mumbles, still half a sleep. Then he sees Maika standing in the dark and he immediately runs down and opens the door. "What are you doing here?" he asks while hugging her

Perhaps she thought you wouldn't like the fact that she has two books full of dangerous spells? The last thing she would have happen is to lose precious family heirlooms.

I didn't know Maika had any black magic books. Well, Maika, have you been hiding something from me? ![[nlaugh] [nlaugh]](/images/smilies/emot_laugh.gif)
Maika, who was out stargazing with Finwë, comes back later, having dropped Finwë off at his house to sleep. As she walks through the door, she reaches out to grab a book she had left on a nearby table. She is startled when she realizes it isn't there. Looking over, she sees that the book has been moved. "Huh. I thought I left it right here..." She picks up the book and looks around the room. Other things have been moved as well. "Okay, what happened? It could have been the wind. No, the wind wouldn't be able to lift something as heavy as this book, and if it was that strong, this sand would be everywhere. An animal, maybe? Again, the book is pretty heavy, and they probably wouldn't have wanted it anyway, since it isn't food. Earthquake? If this book was moved, than this vase over here would have been smashed." She thinks for a moment, and then realizes what must have happened. "The most plausible solution is another Creatchi. And everything being moved, but left in about the same place indicates that they were picking up each thing to look at it, which indicates a search. What were they looking for? Why did they enter while I wasn't here? Who was it? Are they still here?" Maika is full of questions, and realizes that staying in the house, when there might be a strange Creatchi inside, someone who would have entered and searched the house, is probably a bit dangerous. She decides to go get Finwë.

While Maika and Finwe are away, Dracona tiptoes silently into their home. She looks for a book of black magic, a companion book written by some ancient ettinchi named Shadyk, and the ettinchi family tree papers. It takes a while for the items to be found, but Dracona finds them hidden underground. She lets out a roar, extends leathern wings, and flys out through a window.

Finwë visits Maika, but he sees she is asleep. He touches her face gently and whispers "I love you".

|
Maika sits down beside Finwë. "Okay. do you want to play catch? I could read you a story. We could look at the stars together." Then, she pauses. "Actually, we might be able to watch meteors. I forget whether that's going to be today or tomorrow." Then, she looks back at Finwë, and hugs him. "I hope you feel better soon."
