Researcher's Log:
1/31/26.
After hatching Ettin specimen 2026.2 the station lost power! It would appear the bioenergy of my custom ship was spent up with the production of the egg.
So that I had to emergency land on a nearby planet. I had just enough time to try and synthesize some simple sugars to try and get the ship up and running before things got much more dire.
Luck was in my favor and I managed to create a specialized nectar which gave the ship a much needed energy boost, and we're back floating amongst the stars. I shall have to monitor the ship's bioenergy levels much more closely next time.

After cleaning up this poor neglected ettin baby, I needed to think of a name. Sitting in my favorite chair and munching on some biscuits and sipping some of the fancy energy nectar. (Apparently safe for me too! Gives me quite the creative buzz!)
I examined the little ettin closer. It was evident he wasn't of the stock of normal ettin eggs. Somehow the ship had mixed up my orders and injected guppy ettin DNA into his egg. His glittering fishscale patterns reminded me of a strange deep blue stone I had found during a brief jot to the surface of the planet we had just crashed upon. The stone glittered and shimmered like a thousand shining stars as I held it up to the light. Like an entire universe laid inside waiting to be explored!
So I decided upon the name "Goldstone" which is a fitting name for such a lucky little Ettin!
I shall try my best to teach him to get along with the norns and not terrorize my latest experiments. The last thing I need is my genetic analyzer to be dismantled...again!
