| Kaiyouhime was born underwater among a patch of coral. Apparently, someone had snatched up her egg during its long period of hibernation and dropped it in the sea. Fortunately, she was amphibious just like her mother Hanna and grandfather Hannibal.
She had a love of the sea, much like her mother; in fact, for most of her childhood she only left the water to study the book her mother left behind for her. However, she wasn't particularly nice towards the local sea life; she was a rather active carnivore and liked munching on whatever fish or other critters she could catch.
Despite being a descendant of Zetta IV, she completely lacked her familiy's otherwise seemingly inherent attraction to the medical bay; she went her whole life without ever going near it. The reason was probably due to her love of the sea and refusal to stay away from it for too long.
On one of her excursions out of the sea, she met a red ettinchi by the name of Macaron. One thing led to another, and the two feel in love and were married. She never let motherhood get in the way of her daily life, but after having two sons she spent significantly less time in the sea and more time in her little hut, looking after the eggs of her two sons and adding her own chapters to the book her mother left behind.
She only really socialized with other ettinchis. For whatever reason, nornchis and grendelchis scared her to death, making her refuse to have anything to do with them.
Her name is derived from two Japanese words: "kaiyou" means "ocean," while "hime" means "princess." She was not actually a princess, mind you, nor did she act like she was one. |

Macaron follows but loses sight of Kaiyouhime and gets lost in the jungle near the beach. He doesn't have a very good sense of direction (understatement of the year!) When he finally makes it to the hut, Kaiyouhime is nowhere to be seen but there is a note there with an interesting proposal. Macaron hurries to find Kaiyouhime, and gleefuly accepts her proposal. He still has one question, though... what happened to the sharkling?

Macaron just so happened to meet Kaiyouhime while she's in the middle of something. Judging by the fact that she's dragging a dead rainbow sharkling behind her, she apparently just completed a hunt.
She considers the red Ettinchi's request carefully. On one hand, this would be the first time she ever was out of the sea's sight. On the other hand, she did have her eyes on Macaron for a while. Maybe this little excursion could tell her if this one was really the male for her.
In the end, she agrees. But first, she needs to do something about the sharkling she just caught. She tells Macaron to follow her before heading towards a rather shoddily constructed bamboo hut.

Macaron slowly walks up to Kaiyouhime. He smiles shyly, blushing (though it is mostly hidden by his red complexion) and asks her if she would like to go somewhere with him. But he is careful to stress that it's not a date. Definitely not.

Technically, she was able to hold her breath for a long time, but not quite fully amphibious. I made the DS version amphibious so her babies with Hannibal wouldn't die in the water. Plus aquatic Ettins are cool.

Well, the C3/DS version of her was. I just assumed it applied to her Creatchi self as well.

Wait, Lyssia was amphibious?

She looks like haku!

I'm just glad someone has adopted her. I can't wait to see what she looks like. <3

You know what, I think I'll take this here Ettinchi. Something different for once.

Hanna leaves a book she's written on hunting and fishing.
