Though she may have grown up and passed on, she was always as playful and naive as a little child. Once she had learned the concept of death, she realized that her life-long search for her daddy was in vain. The pain of losing her father was renewed when she learned of Gormez's passing, as he had always been like a father in her eyes. Sprig took some comfort in the fact that she was paired with her friend, KocchiMaru, who had helped her cope with the deep sadness held in the loss of her two father figures. Then, she had a little egg of her own to love and care for. She was a little overwhelmed with such responsibility, but with KocchiMaru by her side each day, she was determined to be a good mother. She loved her family very much, and was very protective of them. When her egg hatched, she was astonished that it did not contain a little Grendel as she expected! However, Sprig then fully understood the joy of parenting, and couldn't be happier. She was very proud of her darling little boy, and would happily talk the ear of any passers by about how wonderful her son is! Soon after, she took her son on the adventure of a lifetime, all the way to Dulcia! Little did she know, she was pregnant again! Her second child, Ashcorp, was born and hatched on the way to Dulcia. With the careful placement of a "telly-port", Sprig gave her family access to Dulcia whenever they please. Upon discovering her shock of white hair, she was devastated. Not for her own life or well-being, but for the sake of her family. She remembered the deep pain of losing her own father, and was terrified to leave her children and husband alone in the world. Despite her age, she still made sure to leave a will to her children, and one last goodbye. She will forever watch over them in the afterlife. Farewell little Sprig, you will be missed. Sprig picks Ashcorp up and nuzzles her close, now gazing at the twinkling stars up in the sky. She nudges Gomaz to look up and see... This is what she was waiting for. The shimmering stars appear to fall to the ground like crystal drops, and trees begin to materialize from the sparkling beads. The stars glitter and swirl in the air, before fading away to reveal a beautiful land filled with trees and bushes, all slightly shimmering beneath the bright, star studded sky. Everywhere the little Norns look, there are almost unimaginable things growing about... Trees filled with familiar cookies, soft creamy mushrooms that smush delightfully when you bite them, twisty sticks that grow up near the little lake, reeds that hang heavy with little sticky treats, cream filled chocolate rosebuds nestled in the grass, vines that grow heavy with bright candy orbs, swirling with color... And surely that can't be all that the magical land has to offer. Still clutching her sleeping little girl, Sprig stands up and swiftly plucks two orange candy orbs swirled with red from a nearby vine. She sits back down by Gomaz at the base of a tree, and hands one to him, grinning from ear to ear. | |||||||||||||||||

Eventually, Ashcorp feels confident enough to take a look around. She raises her head away from her brother's chest and rolls to face the sky. She looks directly upward - it makes her eyes hurt, and she quickly looks away. After a strech she crawls out of Gomaz' arms and tries to walk, but instead she ends up with her face in the dirt. She gives up and resorts to crawling, and finds her way to her mother. Her scent is calming and familiar, and she lays her head on Sprig's thigh and curls into a ball with a big yawn. | |||||||||||||||||

After many hours, and much, much walking, the sun begins to set. They reach a hilly area, and sit down on the green grass as the sun sets along the horizon. Sprig sighs in relief as she stretches her legs along the grass. She smiles at her children as the stars begin twinkling in the sky... What lies in store for them tonight? | |||||||||||||||||

Ashcorp curled up in her brother's arms. Everything around her was loud, and outside of the comfort of her egg it was cold. The fur on his arms was more than welcoming and she cooed quietly | |||||||||||||||||

Oh! So, it's THAT kind of a shortcut! Gomaz nods, and hurries off, tagging along behind his mother. This time, he's the slow one, being weighed down by a wriggling baby girl! | |||||||||||||||||

Sprig steps over and corrects his holding. "There. Support her head in the crook of your arm, and hold her close to your chest, like that." She smiles and lightly kisses the diamond on his forehead before leading him towards the direction of the rising sun. "Most just follow the star by night, but since we already know which way is east, we can be there by mid afternoon! C'mon!" | |||||||||||||||||

Gomaz shoots a glare at the mischievous Grendelchi, when he in unceremoniously put in charge of his baby sister. Stunned, the new brother holds the purple Nornchi by her arms, to the discomfort of both of them. "A shortcut? There was a shortcut?" He motions for his mother to lead the way "Why didn't we just take the shortcut in the first place?" | |||||||||||||||||

No sooner does she secure the bag, but a rock bounces off the back of her head! Stunned, confused, and more than a little angered, she checks to make sure her egg is okay. The negative feelings drain out of her as she's greeted by a smiling purple face peaking out of the bag! She beams at the little violet Nornchi and scoops her out, hugging her close. "Hello there little one! Fancy a journey?" Still beaming, Sprig carefully places the tiny baby girl in the arms of her older brother. Looking at the sun, now rising in the east, she grins as an idea forms in her head. "Gomaz, we're supposed to follow due east, right? How's about we take a shortcut?" | |||||||||||||||||

Sprig shakes her head and chuckles. "Not to worry, I brought extra bags. It just means we have another to bring on our adventure!" She stands up and places the egg in a well made, padded pack, and secures it tightly. "You're getting to be a big boy..." She smiles at him, but there's a faint sadness in her voice. | |||||||||||||||||
