| Maika's egg was laid a while ago, and had not been adopted for a long time. She lay inside her egg, learning what she could of the outside world. She learned the Creatchi language, she learned of the workings of the world, she learned of the three species that inhabit the realm, and she learned who she was. In the time she waited there, her parents had already passed, as had her brother. She did not know of her brother, but she did know of her parents. All she knew of them was their colors, and that her mother wished for friends, but this was enough.
Maika was adopted by someone she only knew as Tarilithina, who kept her fed and rested, but did not intervene in her life. She hatched then, and created a home. When she was old enough to walk, she traveled. She knew her parents would either want to be in a desert, being ettins, or near civilization, to have friends, so she walked to the nearest house. Within the house, she found Tazer, a wise blue ettinchi, who restored her from her weary state after her travels, taught her about her ancestry, and asked a promise of her to find his children and teach them what she knew of him. With this new knowledge, she did what she could to uphold the promise, and then went out into the world.
On her travels, she met Finwë, a black ettinchi who had spent his life hiding in the dark. She took his hand and led him out into the lighted world, teaching him about it and and learning who he was. From that moment, they had fallen in love, and they married and had two eggs together.
They had many a good day together, and one night while they were stargazing, a draconian grendelchi broke into Maika's home to steal a book of black magic. Maika, who had no experience with this, called upon Finwë for help, but she was growing elderly, and died before they reached the house. She was gone before she could finish what she had started, but she had a good life nonetheless, and wished only for this:
"I hope that Finwë can be spared from grief for me.
I hope that my children can be adopted and know at least one of their parents, since they cannot know both.
I hope that Tazer's children live well and learn my knowledge of him.
I hope that I may meet my parents in the afterlife."
With this final statement, Maika passed away into the unknown. Maika has joined her parents again. |

Finwë looks with his big red eyes at Maika without a single blink. "I'm fine.. I guess." he whispers. "I'm just feeling a little lonely.." he says with a little grief in his voice. He curls himself and starts staring at the stars.

Okay, then. I shall assume that they are currently friends.
"So, how are you, Finwë?"

It doesn't really matter if they have met already or not, Finwë's bio is just one for all his life, I just made it once and you can as well see it like some view in the future, if you understand what I mean.. :p

"Yeah, I am, aren't I?" Maika said, looking down at herself.
(What is the status on RP between Maika and Finwë? You say in Finwë's bio that they've met, but at the point Maika is at on her own goals, she probably wouldn't have met him yet, so I'm really not sure where we currently are. Oh, and Maika is meeting Chant right now anyway, but I feel that, for the purposes of this RP, we can safely ignore that. Anyway, I would have had her talk more to Finwë, but since I don't know whether they've met, I don't know what she should have said.)

Finwë looks up to Maika and says she is a pretty big Ettinchi *giggles*

Warning, huge RP post.
"Lets see. Apparently one of Tazer's eggs has been adopted. How should I go about finding it?" Maika considers this for a moment. "I could try asking around, like I asked Tazer." She looks out the window, and then discards this plan. "Nevermind. I live out in the middle of nowhere. The only house I can see is Tazer's. His house is pretty far away anyway, and Tazer is gone now." She sighs for a moment in recollection. "Goodbye, my friend," she says quietly to herself, "Goodbye, for now." She spends a few moments deep in thought, and then continues brainstorming. "I could try tracking, but I am in the middle of nowhere, tracking an egg would be very difficult, and I have no clues about where the eggs might have been laid." She thinks hard, and tries her best to figure out a solution. "I've got it!" she exclaims excitedly. "I can use the Graveyard!"
A few minutes later, Maika arrives safely at her destination, with a backpack full of supplies, including extra water.
"Okay, then. I'll start at one of my parent's graves, so I can get a sense of how this thing works." She walked over to the section where she remembered her mother's tombstone being. "Okay, this is my mother's grave. This picture right here is her. I wonder what this word is up here, though. It's bigger than the rest, it seems to have more emphasis, and it's right at the top. It must be really important. I'm guessing that that's her name."
"When Tazer was tracing my ancestry, he pointed at these two words. Those words must mean parents. Mother and father." Maika paused, then resumed studying the stone. "Hmm. I don't know what this next line is. I should see if I can find this set of characters somewhere else." After much searching between the rows, Maika finally finds a grave marked with the same characters. "Okay, lets see. What connection does this creatchi have to my mother? Ah, I see! The parents are the same! This entry must be siblings." She walked back to Euterpe's grave, ready to figure out the next line. "I know this one. That's my father. This line must mean spouse." She looks down at the last section. "Hmm. I don't know what these two names are. I'll have to see if I can find them anywhere else." She eventually finds a grave marked with the first name. "Okay, this one has the same parents as me. That line must be children. I should check the other, too, though, to make sure." Maika looks through the entire graveyard, and checks every grave, but she cannot find the grave with the second name. "Huh. A child who is still alive?" She thinks a moment, and then the realization hits her. "That's me! I'm the second child! That must be my name!" Maika stares at it in wonder, tracing each symbol with her finger. "Maika..." she whispered softly.
A few minutes later, Maika had recorded her findings on the inner workings of the graveyard, and arrived at Tazer's grave. She reflects for a few moments, and then reaches into her backpack, revealing a bundle of the prettiest flowers she could find. She places the flowers on the grave, and then bows her head. She thinks quietly, and then raises her head to study the grave. "Okay, this must be his wife. Who was she?" She finds the grave, and searches through her biography and RP for any scrap of information. Then, she does the same with Tazer. "Okay, so Tazer met his wife here, they would have concieved their first child here, add a delay for pregnancy, so she would have been right here at the time of laying her first egg. Then she would have traveled all the way back here, then along this path here, and over to Tazer, where the second egg would be conceived. Then she would have gone East, and arrived here, just in time to lay the egg. Alright, I'll check both spots and see which egg has hatched."
(Oops. I just realized that this could not have happened, since Maika still couldn't read at this point. Please forgive my mistake.)
Maika packs up her backpack, goes back home to pick up more supplies, and then strides confidently towards the first egg.
Maika may not have a whole lot of information, but she is extremely good at putting it to use.
