| | Gomaz was a curious black norn, with a great instinct for exploration and discovery! On his forehead and stomach is a red diamond, no doubt something he inherited from his Harlequin mother!
He had many strange knick knacks and souvenirs from his travels dotted around in the interior of his old mother's (then his, then his family's) treehouse, along with pictographic descriptions of his adventures doodled on leaves. Inside is a portal to Dulcia, a realm that he used to visit and tend to frequently.
Dulcia is the mystical land of sweets, which he found and discovered along with his mother Sprig. Normally, Dulcia can only be found by following the brightest star east on the first night of summer, but since Sprig has set up a "telly-port" inside, it can be visited anytime! Gomaz and his family have since set up another shelter in Dulcia, both to house the portal and to house themselves.
On his adventures, he has found an alluring yellow Nornchi in the desert, Sahara. Since then, they've moved in together and started a family.
Soon afterwards, he discovered a treasure chest, buried by his mother for him to find. Now that he knows where his mother is, he sets out once again to explore with her, watching his family from the stars. Gomaz has found his mother! |

Lying on top of a pile of sweet momentos, is a note addressed to him, Ashcorp, and his future wife and family. She tells him to pass these treasures and the treehouse down to his children, and instruct them to do the same. Also inside the box are little gifts for his future children. A home sewn stuffed doll, a crystal tiara for a little girl, several little drawings framed in woven twigs and sprigs of tiny flowers...
She figured that he may be old at the time of finding the note, so now may be the best time to explain where she's gone. Death is a strange thing, really. It doesn't hurt, rather, it's peaceful. Like going home. She tells him that she's sorry she left so abruptly, but now she's found her own parents again, as well as some of the most amazing adventures he could ever imagine...
She hopes to take him on many, many more adventures when she sees him again. Sprig's note tells him not to worry about his family, as he can watch over them from worlds beyond, just as she has. She's very proud of her special little boy, and hopes to see him soon.
The last little bit of writing appears to be blurred from Nornish tears, but Gomaz can see the familiar letters spelling out... I love you.

More grey hairs pop out, now on his arms and legs. He found it! Doing a little dance, Gomaz pulls out the chest and unrwaps it. As he feels a little chilly, he wraps the bright red cloth around his neck like a scarf, despite it being less than clean.
Next, he checks for a lock. Upon finding none, he throws open the lid.

His shovel hits something solid with a soft "thunk". There, wrapped in bright cloth, is a small wooden chest with Gomaz's name carved into the lid. The chest is not very heavy, and rattles slightly when shaken.

Not forgetting about the note, the next morning Gomaz kisses his sleeping wife on the cheek before grabbing a shovel and exiting through the telepoter.
Now back in tree house, he takes the note with him as he climbs down to the base of the tree. Then, carefully tracing his steps around the tree, he finds his spot. He starts to dig down. The sheer excitement causes a few gray hairs to pop onto his head.
What will he find?

Oh, we did!

I sure hope you guys get another kid in time. . . The pairing seems to throw quite the color!

His gray hair makes me want to cry. D:

And just in time, too!

|
Aww, Gomaz has a full family now! :3

Finally, Gomaz returns home after getting lost in the world for several days! His fears of not returning home, or to Sahara, are dispersed as he hugs the base of the tree. There's no place like home!
But he has work to do, if he wants to make the place comfortable for his new friend and crush! He starts by carrying the pieces of the furnace, one at a time, up into the tree house - where he brings them into Dulcia. There, he assembles the furnace in a shelter he and his mother built around the "telly-port"
After a day's well-deserved rest, Gomaz brings the carved tablets of bark he found in the jungle inside to sit along with his other souvenirs. He'll look over them along with Sahara, once she gets here!
It is when he exits to go back to the desert that he sees and remembers about the note left behind by his late mother. He reads over it again - this time noticing the bit about treasure. At the base of the tree!
Gomaz is so excited that he almost forgets to pack a few blankets for Sahara - the sooner they can come back, the sooner they might be able to figure out where Sprig went!
