Lyssia was born as a squeaking baby Ettinchi when her egg rolled into a rock and shattered. She found Hannibal, and not know anything about manners, invaded Hannibal's territory. This didn't end well, and it took some time before she realized what she did wrong and to set things right.

Pretty soon, they got married and had two beautiful babies. They even adopted an orphaned baby. All to soon, Hannibal died, but not before telling her that he was related to an Ettinchi Lyssia dreampt about as a kid. Inbetween all of this, Lyssia wrote a book called "Hover-tanks and You," and made a small army of hovering-things. Anymore she spends most of her time near the ocean, there she has managed to breed a flying fish delivery system. She spent her last few days enjoying the company of her family, and finishing up some long forgotten projects. Rest in peace, Lyssia.

Lyssia remembers seeing Fig with Hannibal and wonders if there isn't something fishy going on. Then she realizes that it's the ocean and everything smells fishy here. She shakes her head to clear it and waves at Fig.

"Hi, I'm Lyssia. Are you a fish? You remind me of some of the beautiful fish I've seen."

Fig walks past Lyssia and stops "Hi I'm Fig!" he says with a grin

After a bit of tweaking a few hoverdocs, Lyssia has managed to turn the one into a sort of floating fish tank! She scoops up some fish eggs and puts them in there along with some ocean water. She relaxes on the beach by her hovering tank and watches it with an impatient smile. She has totally forgotten about the outside world for a little bit, it's only her and her new experiment.

Lyssia watches the pair walks off and decides maybe the fish will be better company then a grumpy Ettinchi. The other Creatchi seemed nice, but Lyssia was in no mood to try to make friends. Instead she spends some time watching and learning the various fish in the ocean.

Hannibal detects a strange scent in the medical bay. It smells like... seaweed? Then he notices that his books have been rearranged, and one is missing. Whoever did this must have evaded his traps. Angered, he leaves and takes his frustration out on some grazers. When he returns, the scent is stronger, and the book is back. Hannibal is enraged. Following the scent, he winds up at the shore of the ocean.

Looking across, he spots the blue Ettinchi he told to stay out of the medical bay. His rage intensifying, he dives into the ocean with the intent to swim across. However, he is struck by a cramp. Unable to swim, he starts sinking. Unusually terrified at the prospect of sudden death by drowning, no such fate befalls him after all. He can breathe just fine. Remembering a photograph of his mother Damsel half-submerged in a lake, Hannibal realizes she must have been amphibious, and that he is too.

Recovering from the cramp, he resumes swimming towards the other side of the ocean, and climbs out, but Lyssia has disappeared. Spying a cave, he enters it and finds her. Baring his teeth, he says, roughly translated, "why did you come back to the medical bay?", his voice almost icy.

Lyssia wakes up dazed and scared for her life. She flees from the sight of the note, vowing to never see another Ettinchi again. Instead she finds her way to the ocean, and a long neglected shack, not far from the ocean-side. She tries to fix the shack up, but can't reach that far.

She almost had a piece in place when a wave washes her and the rest of the shack into the water. After struggling for a bit, Lyssia finds out that she can hold her breath long enough to swim a great length. She manages to swim to the shore and takes shelter in a cave. Puzzled over todays events, she falls into an unhappy sleep. She dreams of the Ettinchi Eddie, and how he used to tame fish.

Hannibal awakes. Though not completely gone, his new feeling is dulled to the point where it no longer bothers him. He notices his "guest" is still in the medical bay, and realizes that as a non-family member in his territory, she is now his prey. Seeing the paint in her fur, he thinks she must have tripped the contact sensor and set off one of his traps. No longer subdued, however, he must take other measures, and injects her with a short-acting sedative.

When Lyssia regains consciousness only a few minutes later, she is alone and restrained in a dark room with a large button on the wall. Hannibal waits a little longer for the chemical to leave her system, then enters, hovering over her. Producing a sharp instrument, he hesitates. The feeling has become stronger. He can't bear to hurt this Ettinchi- not even to take a non-vital organ. Switching to a syringe, he injects her with more of the sedative.

Poor Lyssia wakes up back in the Jungle. Beside her is a note. Hannibal doesn't think she will be able to read it, but thought it was worth a shot anyway. Translated, it reads, "Dear Ettinchi, you were very lucky. Please don't return to the medical bay. I will find you if I need to. Sorry for any inconvenience. Regards, Hannibal." Attached to the note is a flower from the Gardens, its color identical to that of Lyssia's fur.

Lyssia is pelted by paintballs and stumbles off the contact sensor. Lyssia flails around, trying to get the paint off of her fur, and crashes into the hoverdoc. She uses it to stand up and and looks around at the medbay, finally noticing that it's just another part of the ship. She notices a dusty empathic vendor and steals it instinctively.

She then notices the sleeping Ettinchi near her and wonders why he's sleeping now. She crouches next to him and makes the hoverdoc hover over him instead of her. She spends the next few hours poking around, waiting for the Ettinchi to wake up. She even found a vocabulary machine and uses it.

Unable to cope with his new feeling or flee from its apparent cause, Hannibal doses himself with a concoction of chemicals. As he dozes off to sleep, he mumbles an apology.

Lyssia is left to explore the strange new area on her own. Unfortunately, in her confusion, she trips a contact sensor, activating a trap!

Lyssia noticed the strange ettinchi and realized that he looked like her! She squeaks in excitement over finding one of her own and gives chase to him. She is still growing though and she trips on her own feet, falling on Hannibal. Both wind up sprawled out on the floor of the med bay. Lyssia gets up and offers her hand to Hannibal, but is distracted by the new place.

She looks around at all of the strange machines, feeling overwhelmed again for the second time in her short life. What sort of place is this, she wonders. It's nothing like the jungle! She pokes at the hoverdoc, and squeaks when it activates and hovers near her.
