Describing the features of Creatures Caves - logging in, posting, forum titles, and user levels.

Logging In
» When you log in, you may choose if you would like Creatures Caves to remember your password or not. If you choose "no" then your password will be remembered for 24 hours. If you choose "yes" then your password will be remembered for two weeks.
» If you lose your password you may use the lost password page to retrieve it. Please note that the email address asked for must be the same as the one in your profile.

Posting
» Users may only post items to Creatures Caves when they are logged in.
» If you are gagged by a moderator, manager, or administrator then you cannot post until the gag expires.
» HTML is not allowed in any posts on Creatures Caves. Website commands may be used instead.
» If a forum topic is locked by a moderator, manager, or administrator then replies cannot be added.

Forum Titles
» Forum Titles are little snippets of personalised text located underneath your icon.
» They are not editable by members, but can be bestowed by the website staff, after a history of good behaviour and regularly joining in and contributing to the site and forums.
» Once a staff member believes you to be qualified, they will ask you what text you would like to be displayed there. Keep in mind that there is a 15 character limit.

User Levels
» Anyone can become a member. Members can edit their profiles, send and receive private messages, maintain a favorites list, add posts to website pages (the posts must be approved before they are displayed on the site), and use the forums.
» Moderators can do everything that a member can, but in addition they can also add posts that do not need to wait for approval, edit and delete member posts, lock, unlock, and move forum posts, and gag members.
» Managers can do everything that a member and moderator can, but in addition they can edit and delete moderator posts, gag and ban members and moderators, create new moderators and remove the moderator status of members, assign moderators to forums, and approve user submitted posts.
» Administrators can do everything that a member, moderator, and manager can, but in addition they can edit and delete all posts, gag and ban anyone, create new moderators, managers, and administrators as well as revoke moderator, manager, and administrator status of others, assign moderators and managers to forums, and approve user submitted posts.

Viewing Activity
You can view the activity on Creatures Caves by logging in - next to your name - "Welcome, Malkin" - there will be a small yellow star: . Clicking on your name takes you to My Caves, where the most recent activity will be displayed up the top as follows:

messages (1) | updates (3) | comments (20) | likes (1) | bibble (5) | users | log out


The numbers in brackets indicate how many events of each kind have occurred, and clicking on each of them takes you to a feed of the activity. Clicking on the cog picture takes you to your settings page, where you can change your avatar, password, and your notification preferences.
