A couple of weeks ago I bought myself an adorable Bearded Dragon plush, and I've found that cuddling him actually makes me feel less anxious and helps me sleep. I've read about it online and it turns out hugging a stuffed animal can benefit your mental health if you suffer from depression or anxiety. Has anyone else got any special plushies they'd like to talk about?
Feel free to share photos too!

I've had a stuffed cat I called Kitty 1 ever since I was a really young girl. Poor thing's old and ratty now but I still love her.
Between my love of cookies, tea, and the observation of genetics in nature I'm practically a Shee.![[ngrin] [ngrin]](/images/smilies/emot_grin.gif) |

I have a white polarbear called Nallen, I've had him since I spent my first couple of days in the hospital after being born. It was a gift from my granmother (on my mother's side) and he hasn't left my side since. Though I don't really carry him around where ever I go nowadays. When I was little he would follow me everywhere, now he's just waiting in bed for me to realize it's bedtime. He's not very white anymore, more like a gray and yellow shade to him. And he's missing fur around his shoulders, because that's where I held him the most while I carried him around. And it's also around that part that I wrap my arms when it comes to sleepytime.
I tried sleeping without him a couple of time when I was a teenager and told I was so childish and asked if I was ever going to give him up. It lasted maybe a week. I think a week was the longest. Before I would gather him up in my arms again. I just sleep better with him there. |

When I didn't have a boyfriend, I used to pile my bed with plushies to snuggle. I just can't sleep in an empty bed, lol.
The above plushies aren't the plushies I used to have (those are still all over at my mom's home and I don't have pictures of those), but I made the angry bird and pig ones as a surprise gift for Christmas for my bf some years ago.
...We throw them at each other when we need each other's attention.

The image doesn't appear to be working.
Edit: Nice plushies! My brother had loads of Angry birds but they went in the attic along with most of the other cuddlies. |

I used to be big into the Endless Forest community. Someone was making personalised deer plushes to match our in-game looks, so I did an art swap with them. I animated their deer in Flash and they made me this. It has my artist symbol on his rump.
I also have a Moogle, because for most of my online life, I have been known as Moogie. It looks like this but mine didn't come with the leather bag for some reason.

Edit: Oh! Mustn't forget, my newest acquisition! Mum made me this Rabbit Ray (a creature from Subnautica).

Nice plushies. Subnautica is a great game, I need to play it more often. |

Well my snake plushie arrived today. The funny thing is, he's a Green Anaconda and I ordered him from Amazon. ![[nlaugh] [nlaugh]](/images/smilies/emot_laugh.gif)

So someone asked to see the humpback whale I talked about in my (as of this typing) latest bibble. Well, here you go:
A Wild Republic Cuddlekins Humpback Whale I picked up from a museum gift store yesterday. I've been thinking about picking up a new plushie for a while, because there weren't any at the house I'm living at now and because I thought having something nice and soft to hug would be good for stress relief purposes. I thought the whale's shape would work well, plus I just happen to like whales.
As a bonus: the same gift store also sold Giant Microbes, something I've rambled about before. So I also grabbed me a Lyme Disease plushie (With tag visible). Lyme isn't something I've ever had (thankfully), but it is something to be worried about in the middle of nowhere so I thought it'd help to be informed. Also the plushie was the one I liked most out of the ones available. It's not as cuddly as the whale, but it's nice to have around anyway.

I picked up one of these at my local Comic Con over the weekend... took myself a while to talk myself into it because I don't normally spend nearly that much on stuffed animals, but it's adorable, huggable and combines two of my weaknesses (cats and puns.)
I also still have a scalemate plush from my Homestuck phase. It's also very huggable! |

Just today I visited an aquarium and picked up a cuddly sawfish (underside additional details).
Wild Republic makes the best plushies, it must be said. This guy's not only larger than my whale, he's much softer and thus more huggable too. It helps that real sawfish are among my favorite animals (and the aquarium just so happened to have a pair).
