Docking Station suddenly stopped working | |

I have the GOG download, installed using the guide here. It worked fine up until today, now it just won't open. The box pops up as usual saying "do you want to allow this app," I click yes, then nothing happens.
Tried running it in compatibility mode and now after clicking yes, it does open a window (or it attempts to do so anyway), but the window does not appear. I can see in the task bar that Docking Station appears to be opening but clicking on it does nothing.
I've made zero changes to my computer - no windows updates or anything else that I'm aware of. I have W10.
Please help if you can! I would be soooo grateful! |

Does it still happen when you run it as admin?

Yep
I might try a full re-install over the weekend, but really wanted to avoid doing that since I don't want to lose my world. |

You can make a backup of your world folder and then toss it back into the game when you are done reinstalling.

Did you choose to install the update that the installblast launcher said was available? Since the servers aren't around anymore, it isn't actually getting any version to update so it just doesn't work out when it tries to retrieve this nonexistent update.
If this happened, don't worry, you can still launch the game directly from Engine.exe in your Docking Station folder and you can make a shortcut of that for convenience.
As far as I know regarding compatibility settings DS doesn't really need to be run in any compatibility mode but you will need to run it in reduced 16 bit color mode, though the game would tell you it needs to be in it if you ran it without that.
The last thing I can think of is that the window might just be offscreen for some reason. If DS is showing up on your taskbar, shift + right click it then click "Move" and use your arrow keys to bring it back onscreen.
