Welcome to the second Lost Download Detectives thread! This is where we gather to help one another find missing creatures content, such as COBs, agents, worlds, metarooms and breeds. This is a continuation of the original Lost Download Detectives thread, which can be found here. That thread is now locked due to a forum bug which affects very long topics. If you have located something requested in the original thread, please respond in the current thread with a quote of the request. While the original thread will remain available for browsing, keep in mind that many of the links provided are dead, and that many of the members who have offered to share content are no longer active. Rules: 1) Be polite and respect other members. 2) Make sure you've looked for the download yourself. Only request downloads that you can't find a functioning copy of anywhere. 3) Be clear. Post exactly what you are looking for, and any details you have on it, such as its author(s), what game it's for, and where it was originally offered for download. 4) Stay on topic as much as possible. This thread is for locating and sharing content, not discussing it. If you want to chat about a particularly exciting piece of content, please start a new thread or post a bibble. 5) Do not request the mall breeds (Bondi, Hardman etc.) in this thread. I am looking for an agent which looks like a freaky cuboid with wacky colours (lime green, magenta, etc) and large star patterns. It has an oval (pixellated if I recall correctly) around the top which fills more if you click on it, as well as a hollow section where you can put smaller objects into it. Something about its description said it was made for Astro norns, the agent itself changes the elasticity of an object you put into it so you can make objects that bounce everywhere. My main interest in this agent is purely for nostalgia, as I remember using it before I even knew what the Astro norns were. |

I'm looking for an agent that can automatically speed up the hatching time of eggs. Something like a mobile version of DS's heat pan. I remember Ghosthande making something to this effect; if I remember right, it was a fireplace. I can't remember the exact name and it's not on Breeder's Beware, however. Can anyone direct me to a working download of Dennis' Genetics Lab? The pages and links in the archived Creatures Unlimited site are gone, it seems. |

I have no idea why I did that... nor why it is The Archways in the wiki.  Alkalide, the Genetics Lab 2.1 English Version version works for me - have you tried using a different browser, or downloading it at a different time? My TCR Norns |

I used to have an agent that would let you reset the ecology in the terrariums, either if they got out of controll or died out. I am currently running Docking Station on a drawing tablet, so the prosessor isnt the most powerfull, so it would be usefull to be able to restart the ecology from time to time, as they get really overpopulated with plants and critters after a day or so. Any idea where I can find this? Have no idea what the agent was called, unfortunately. |

I don't know about an agent, Yme, but in the meantime if it's causing you problems or keeping you from playing you can do that with CAOS by removing and reinjecting the relevant cos files with the various "ject" commands. I believe it's.... ject "whatever.cos" 1 ject "whatever.cos" 4 ject "whatever.cos" 7 to remove (1), inject (4), or "reset" (7, but I'm not totally sure what reset means in this context) a given cos file, in that order. If you have a population bloom of for instance tubas you could use that to remove all of them and re-add only as many as you want, until you find the agent you're thinking of, but you'd have to do it for each species you wanted to reset. |

The official website has been broken for quite some time - you can find direct download links to the genetics kits on the Creatures Wiki. Make sure you use the link on the wiki page, rather than visiting the official website, as it redirects to a spam website. My TCR Norns |

Looking for a couple of Biostorms C2 breeds,they used to be hosted on Cave of Creatures .any help would be appreciated...i've searched thw wayback, Creatures wiki and a dozen other sites they are : Cow norns and Turtle norns .Thanks for any help |

When I was trying to direct a friend of mine who just downloaded docking station to the download links for some of the official breeds (Astro, Zebra, etc), I found that the links I had used are now down. I can't remember if there was anything special I was supposed to do with the link, but as I was using the links from my search history I strongly suspect that these download links are gone. I wasn't sure where to put this information, so I thought I'd put it here. Sorry if this is the wrong spot, it just felt like something that needed to be shared. |

Do you mean Helen's Mobile Movers? I've just updated the link. For a while now, PHP errors have prevented people from downloading files from Helen's Bibble Directory, but following some investigation, I've found a method of downloading files, for future reference. Have two tabs open. Paste the following into one, and do or don't hit enter - your choice. www.creaturesvillage.com/helen/files/cobs/cobc2woobly.zip Have this open in a second tab, and use it to navigate to your target file. Take note of the zip's name. Go to the first tab and replace "cobc2woobly.zip" with your target zip file and hit 'enter'. Hope this helps! My TCR Norns |

I'd like to make a suggestion. Because it is very difficult to search these threads, I propose a Google Spreadsheet where people can input their requests, and other people can browse to see if they have any files currently being requested. Oftentimes I'll come across some files that look old and rare, and wonder to myself, "Has anyone asked for this over at CC?" but there's no easy way to find out without trawling through hundreds of posts manually! I envision the spreadsheet to contain tabs along the bottom for each game in the series, and then a table on each tab with headers like: |COB Name|COB Description|Author Name|Website Originally From| And then people would fill one row per request with as much detail as possible, while others can scan down the list or ctrl+F for keywords if they suspect they have a file that might be requested. I can try to set this up myself if other people agree it is a good idea? |

I seem to have misplaced some of the older C3/DS breeds Does somebody have the SheeLa breeds Estrella norns and Primavera norns? They were on Creatures Unlimited, but even with the archieve they are not possible to download compared to the Nenya norns. I looked pretty much everywhere. Oh and I am looking for the Paradox norns as well, they are not available at Mummy's creatures anymore sadly. Hey there! I installed the newest C12DS with the patch, and a couple of the breeds won't display properly (the ones labeled "Forest-PMN" norn and "Ron-Pixie" norn). I'm not even sure the breeds are supposed to register like that, so if anybody has the original breed installs and/or the original C12DS sprites of these, I'd appreciate it! [ EDIT: OH and before I forget, does anybody have the Breeding Kit for Docking Station? Heyo! I was looking into Norngarden2 and Ostrova and noticed that both of their official purchase links are down. There's no way to buy them so far as I can find - they either loop back to the product page OR end in a dead link. The online store they can be found at doesn't seem to be working at all either.
