CCSF Creatures Sampler *Updtd* | |

We're all here, in some way or another, because of the creatures. So why not create, for the CCSF... a creatures sampler, a census, a snapshot - these creatures being either cool creatures we've taken a shine to or representative of what we're breeding in our worlds this year, right now, 2011.
It's something we can all do, and I'm looking forward to seeing what we've all got running around in our worlds! The more, the merrier.
Pictures can be extracted from C3/DS creatures at TCR.
Creatures can be submitted zipped with a picture and a few choice words to Laura at lauraval[at]gmail.com.

I think this is a great idea, and something EVERYONE can take part in; no excuses.
If I receive enough creatures, I plan to have a featured Adoption(s) of the Day for each day of the CCSF, and then reveal an amalgamated montage image of every creature submitted on the final day of the festival! Wouldn't it be cool to look back over 2011 from a breeding perspective?
So, got Norns? I hope you're all ready to have a good ol' dig around in your worlds and send me your creatures... don't let them miss out on the limelight! |

What a great idea! I'll definitely be taking part in this: I have some plans to have a couple of feral/wolfing runs in C3/DS in the near future, which will hopefully result in some interesting creatures.
I assume this includes creatures from all versions? After another generation or two, perhaps a Discover Albia Norn will be submitted! Hopefully this idea gets a lot of response: It's pretty simple to participate in, but I can just imagine the montage of creatures!

Thank you, Jessica, we hope for a lot of response too! Your creatures can be the first featured adoptions for being the first person to bite.
Yes, I'll be accepting creatures from ALL of the games; whichever creatures have been prominent in your world, or those you've taken a real shine to and want to put into the spotlight. Maybe its a Norn with the most unusual sprites, an Ettin with the funniest habits, a Grendel who has the most interesting personality, or your most successful mating couple. Just send them to me with a snazzy photo and a short blurb and I'll make them famous! |

This question might have the most obvious of obvious answers, but I wanted to double-check: does the creature need to have been bred in 2011? Because most of my memorable creatures are from years past. >_>
You have to be honest with yourself when you are writing. If that leads to somewhere unexpected then perhaps you really needed to go there.

Ideally, yes. However, if you happen to have the export file of any of those Creatures from years past and have them breeding in your world during the next three months, before the CCSF starts, then I suppose that'll count too. |

Aww, thanks, Laura! It might be a little while before I submit any creatures, but you can be sure I'll be sending in a healthy sampling! Expect one or two Norns from C1, and a handful from C3/DS when I get around to holding a proper feral/wolfing run. I'm also working on a world concept I posted about a week ago: Might make for some interesting storytelling, and something tells me it will result in a few noticeable creatures.
Don't leave out those Ettins and Grendels! As minor of a role as they were originally designed to play, I've developed a soft spot for them over the years.
Once again, great idea! Who else is planning on submitting a creature or two?

I shall look forward to it. And don't worry, I plan to make sure that every species has their fair share of attention! If I don't receive many of them, I plan to submit a few Ettins and Grendels myself. |

Many thanks to Aliena, CuteIzzy21 and Malkin for sending me their creatures already! They're all hanging out together safe and sound on my computer. |

Haha. All right. Point taken. ;P

You can send in as many creatures as you like - the more is definitely the merrier, and any creature will do, even a hatchery norn. Who doesn't hatch out a gen 1 chichi on occasion?

This sounds like a wonderful idea! I just deleted my Creatures Exodus off my computer to clear some space, but now I have the Albian Years so I'll see if I end up with a particularly memorable norn.

I'm looking forward to receiving these Norns; does anyone want to send me some Ettins?
Ylukyun: I've received your creatures safely, thank you! |

I'm planning on sending in some submissions soon... Just need to find a little time! Ettins will probably be on my list: Although I don't enjoy them as much as Norns, I still have a bit of a soft spot for them! I'll probably use the Atavist Ettins: C2 Ettins were always my favorite!
Great to see that some submissions have already come in! How many creatures have you received so far, Laura? Or are you keeping it a surprise? Ha!

Chocosaurus: Thanks for sending me Mario!
UPDATE: I've just been organising the creatures people have sent me already, and the current ratio is:
C2: 8 Norns, 3 Ettins, 2 Grenorns.
C3/DS: 8 Norns, 3 Grendels, 3 Grenorns.
Thanks everyone, that's 27 creatures so far; please keep sending them in!
I'd also love to see any C1 creatures, some C2 Grendels and some C3/DS Ettins being sent in, if you have any in your worlds that you'd like to share. You can still send me any creatures you want, but it would be nice to have a little bit of everything too. |

I will send in some creatures once I spend some time sorting them out after various wolfing runs. They will be CUTE and hopefully hardy.

I e-mailed a drawing of the creature I sent. I hope it gets accepted.
Also, I'm thinking about sending an ettin I had handy from a wolfing run in... |

If I get C3 to work I'll send in an ettin. Not too late is it? |
