Should we have a summer 2013 Survivor game? And if so, is Survivor: Space a good theme? Any other ideas?

How would space work out though? It's a good idea but I'm not sure on the details there. We could always do an Albia based one? That's the only other thought in my head. We've already done tropical, desert, and arctic. Not much else truly different that one would experience in the time to do Survivor.

I like the idea of space - it could be on an abandoned space station! Or how about in underground caves? Or an island in the sky? Or in a fantasy realm?
Really, there's a lot to chose from. I think space would be my favourite though!

Yeah, I was envisioning a space station. Perhaps they could have a ship to explore moons/planets as well.

Any chance we could make Survivor more complex and interactive like Creatchi?

I'm open to ideas. Survivor could use some refreshing.
Maybe votes could be based on journal entry 'likes' or something?

An underwater setting could be interesting too, with oxygen tanks and aquatic breeds. Maybe an abandoned submarine, sharks, shipwrecks, coral reefs, fishing nets, submerged caves, lost treasure, mermaids... Too challenging? |

Well, I wasn't around for this last Survivor so I don't really know if it was any different, but I remember the previous ones pretty much being that ones posts their own imagination into a blog-like setting each day, one person posts an overall "message in a bottle" from time to time, and the only real organization seemed to be the weather, which we learned to base our daily entries on.
I think something a little more organized and concrete would be nice, kind of like how Creatchi runs. I don't know how complex it can get, but perhaps things like an interactive map that shows users' locations, (I know the map used to be part of contests earlier though, but having one once you start allows everyone a more solid idea on where Survivor is, and where they're starting out, and where is who on the island, ship, or other scenario) and each person's little bio section can have tidbits on how they're doing as well as if they've won certain contests.
Voting more involved might be another neat thing too, I'm just throwing ideas around. But I certainly would love to see a more organized Survivor that isn't based on hoping all the other users are playing along with your posts. (for example, you posted that you were in such a location, and such and such happened but apparently some other members posted a different event on that same day)

I'm biased towards classic, island survival; especially since I've been playing Lost in Blue.

Underwater could be cool too... although it seems like aquatic breeds would have an unfair advantage?

Well, either we'd find enough aquatic breeds for ten contestants, or we chuck in some oxygen tanks (like I suggested above) for any non-aquatic breeds. |

- And the rest would be genetic ones as well as Amphibious norns, such as the Nenyas.
I'm always an island lover at heart but am happy with whatever.

Alternatively, we could combine the space station and underwater ideas and have Survivor: Rapture edition. Both ideas on their own sound good to me, though.
On a different note: What was everyone's opinion on Survivor Arctic's Opinions Column? Do people prefer the impersonal style of reporting Ghosthande did, or was Mahk Mako's increased involvement more interesting? I'm probably not going to do the Opinions Column for two games in a row, but I'd like to hear opinions regardless.

I was thinking last night even if there was an island or ship with four corners of four different climates, that would be interesting.
I wasn't here for your column reporting and haven't read it all yet, but, whatever happens I certainly do think we should see who wants to be the next reporter and who's going to be the one with the lucky ticket. (to become said reporter)
