Oh nooo... I think the spiders are eating our food.

I've been having to fish twice as much so that I can actually have enough to feed myself after the spiders are done with the food. The problem is, they seem to be multiplying. And they're everywhere. It's hard to avoid stepping on them. Then again, if they keep eating all the food like this, maybe I should.

Rain's come up with a good way to keep the spiders out; setting up a perimeter of torches. I just hope it doesn't start raining again. At any rate, the food is safe for now, and that's a relief.

It started raining again and some of Rain's torches went out. Hopefully the spiders will stay away. I don't want to have to hurt them... I'm really too nice sometimes.

I don't think I've been more terrified in my life. I was out gathering fruit and I saw this huge plant. It had a round, mouth-like part near the top. I was about to go up to it, but there was a very scary pile of bones next to it. I watched it for a while and eventually its jaws snapped shut. I couldn't tell what it was eating, but there was a tail coming out of its mouth!!!

I've been trying to get that plant out of my mind. I did quite a bit of fishing, but didn't catch much. However, my fishing rod got hooked on a net, which I'm going to use to try to make up for what I didn't catch.

What does one do when the nets have been laid out and sleep seems hours away? Make a miniature golf course, obviously! I'm using long branches for clubs and rocks for balls. The terrain is bumpy enough that it is quite a challenge. I'm going to see if anybody else wants to play. Most games aren't fun if it's just you.

I have a couple of mini-golf buddies! Jessica shared a few berries that stained my fur purple (which, to be fair, I was warned about) but it's a nice colour.

Golf is tricky, and when your ball is a rock, and it lands in a pile of rocks, it's hard to tell your rock from the others. My rock was, thankfully, pretty absorbant, so I dyed it purple with berry juice. Ylukyun and Jessica had no such luck in finding porous stones, but it was still fun!

I'm sick of fishing. I'm gonna set a few snares.

I have no idea how to set a snare. Obviously, I caught nothing, but I found some of those berries Jessica brought while we were playing mini-golf. These were a bit bigger, though. They're really good! I think they might even taste better this time!

I went to play a bit more mini-golf and I saw Jessica. I went to wave her over, and she charged at me. She looked angry, but her eyes were totally blank. I didn't really know what to do, so I knocked her out with my golf club. I dragged her back to my camp (I hope she won't notice the bump on her head when she wakes up). And... Why am I writing in a journal when I should be figuring out what to do with Jessica? She's woken up now. I hope she's feeling be-

Jessica looked angry and scared at the same time and ran away. Later, I found her passed out on a large rock by a pond. She was probably drinking. What's important now is to get her some food. I collected some orange berries earlier that I decided to part with. I left the basket next to her and hid nearby to make sure an animal didn't steal the berries.

Jessica does seem to be doing better after having eaten the berries. Maybe food was all she really needed, but I suspect there was something else to it.

I approached Jessica to ask if she was feeling alright now. I brought my golf club with me just in case, but I didn't need it. She had eaten some kind of toxic berry that made her very ill. The way she described it, I'm pretty sure I had a few also, and I thank my Toxic Norn heritage.

Jessica took me back to her treehouse. It looks... stable. Which is good. She needed a bit of help getting back in. We're going to try working together. I gave her a few fishing tips and started rambling about Homestuck before she stopped me. It's not my fault my hand is so addicted! I just learn by example.

I decided to face my fears this one time and light a fire. With shaving cream. A very small amount, though, so as not to set off another explosion. I started a very large fire pit that's smoking like crazy. Maybe somebody will see it?

Jessica's not the greatest at fishing, but that's fine. There's plenty of fish in the river and plenty of time. I made her net just a little more tightly woven and set it up again. That caught quite a few!

I thought we might catch more fish if we were fishing in deeper waters so I made a raft. I hope Jessica will join me.

Jessica and I are pretty far from shore now. We're not having much luck catching anything, so I'm gonna' take a quick dip and see if there are any fish anyway.
