Hello all! Sorry about not making a Journal entry on the first day, something happened (real life camp) which made my arrival on this beautiful island late. Anyway, a positive is that I seem to have missed some nasty weather and it is quite sunny today. Anyway, as they say make hay while the sun shines. Day 1, Entry 1 I'm feeling rather deprived at the moment though. There seems to be a complete and utter lack of technology on the island... I should probably try to forget my ettin instincts on the island. I have also decided that sitting around in the sand on the beach is a priority and have been doing so while writing all of this down. Day 2,Entry 1 - A recap of D1,E2 Note: If you have noticed that my day count is one behind others, it is becuase I started a day late. After my one entry was rudely stolen I will have to give a recap on what happened. I left the beach and entered the jungle in which I found some berries. After eating the berries I wrote my second entry and a talking crab took it. I was then greeted by a pink ettin O.o who proceed to give me a pineapple. Day 2,Entry 2 - A recap of how I slept on day 1 I wouldn't call it a sleep, more of a living nightmare. I was preoccupied most of the day by lazing around so running around gathering provisions was hardly easy in the dark. Eventually I dug a bit of a pit next to the berry bush. After grabbing a couple of leaves for a blanket, jumped in my pit and attempted to sleep. However the night was cold and I was disturbed by certain things like frogs, crabs who sleep talk and weird blue glowing balloons in the sky! My next entry will be about what I actually did today. Day 2,Entry 3 I woke up incredibly sleepy. However my clever positioning of my pit allowed me to eat breakfast in bed. I'm sure I can smell smoke so the other creatures must be nearby. I noticed some of them in the trees as well. One of them who I think is known as Mep was carrying a machine of sorts... I probably shouldn't take it... but it would be fun and I'm sure he wouldn't mind. I spent some of today trying to find a sharp rock to cut up the pineapple I was given. Along the way I found the siamese norn's campfire. I think her/his name is Lalay or something like that. Hopefully when it gets night time s/he won't mind me hanging around it. Day 2,Entry 4 - I discover someone... Hehe this is funny, I've found Jessica sleeping near the pond. I've also decided she needs a dip! Let me just quickly push her in. Ok I've pushed her in, hopefully she won't get mad XD . Better stop writing in case she decides to pull me in. Day 3,Entry 1 - A good night Last night Layla let me sleep by the fire. It was rather warm as well. I'm pretty sure I heard a large animal growl this morning and I think I heard a grendel shout. I hope Jessica got dry last night before she went to sleep. Hehe I wish I had a camera when I pushed her in. I noticed a bear near the beach earlier. I ran as fast as I could so it would not see me. I hope it doesn't have a taste for ettins... I saw RainofBlood had a bear pelt... Time for some more tricks on the other contestants! Day 3,Entry 2 - Hammocks Today I saw Layla making a hammock... This gave me an idea! I started to make myself a rudimentary hammock so I would be just as comfy as her by the fire. I'm now gathering some coconuts and smashing the open so who is ever by the fire can have a snack. I'm rather thirsty so I'll go by the pond later for a drink. Day 8,Entry 1 - Real life got to me Unfortuantely I have not written in my journal for the past couple of days because I have done anything interesting really(real life got me). However during my non-writing period some things happened. First Layla left her spot where the fire was. Second the fire went out in the rain. Third I can't start a fire. Day 8,Entry 2 - I find her While walking around looking for a new home I came across Jesicca's treehouse with Jessica in it... Now this is a more or less dangerous situation as she will either: A: Murder me and eat my carcass. B: Forgive me C: Beat me with a stick(or other weapon) and then forgive me 'A' is too grendel-like so I don't think she'll do that. So there is 100% chance of getting forgiven and 50% chance of getting beaten... I like those odds. So I'm gonna call to her and see if she won't mind letting me stay the night in her treehouse. Hopefully she will say yes or I shall have find something to give ylukyun so I can stay in his resort thing. Day 9,Entry 1 - Another recap. Yesterday went rather smoothly. I didn't get beat with a stick! Jessica seemed rather happy to have my company around yesterday. After I asked her I went to go get berries and coconuts for food. When I came back I had found she had weaved me a blanket! I swear this is the nicest host I have ever had. During the night some wierd creepy glowing blue things were floating through the sky. It was pretty amazing. I wonder what the other islanders are up to? Well I will go for a walk and when I come back I shallwrite down what I have found. Day 9,Entry 2 - I couldn't find anyone... except ylukyun. Well, after exploring I didn't find anyone except when I was at the beach, then I saw ylukyun. However I found a weird creature, it looks like some kind of weird snake worm thing. It was pretty small, about the size of my finger. I sketched it for you convenience. Day 11,Entry 1 - Not much happening? Not much seems to be happening on the island right now. Jessica went for a swim yesterday and I haven't seen her since. I haven't seen any of the other creatures either. I went to collect water from the pond in coconut shells and took them back to the treehouse. Afterwards I went to go get berries only to find the last of the berries had been picked off the bushes. Maybe there are some more berries around? Day 11,Entry 2 - Fire I've been making a fire near the treehouse for some warmth. I've also been looking for Jessica. I've seen the other creatures but not Jessica. I hope she didn't drown while swimming... Maybe I should look for her? Nah she's probably just moved more inland or something and made a new house.
