So, I'm working on these again, now I've got myself set up with a working genetics editor and egg injector.
I noticed something odd about the genome while I was working on it. I never placed the two comb->comb tracts or the boredom/ForF tract in any particular lobe. So by default I suppose they had ended up in Fullness. I did remember to correctly place several other new brainthings, but not those. (That explains partly why deleting Fullness made a bunch of semiviable leftrighters.)
So now I'm doing a series of edits involving shifting the comb->comb tracts around through the brain to see what happens. I'm going to write a longer post about it in Addicted To CAOS, but for now, I wanted to drop by here to start a thread for the project, since I intend to keep working on it long-term, and put out a small call for volunteers.
Who wants to help test these? Now that I'm back in the saddle, I'm going to need ongoing reassurance that I am not, in fact, imagining the results of the changes I'm making.
