Sorry for making another topic, but I'm trying to figure out what a certain variable is called. The spores from the red mushrooms in the Grendel Terrarium are animated when they fall. How is this done exactly? I have a food object that I'd like to be animated while it's in the air, but haven't been able to find any examples of this code.

Have you tried the anim and fall commands?

Oh. No, I'd never heard of that. #o.o#
I've tried using it now but so far haven't figured out how to make it work.
If I put it in a timer script, the game ignores it completely, no matter which variable I change or what I change it to.
If I put the fall command in the main part of the script, right after the section where the object is created, the game gives me an error that it doesn't like the anim command (and I have checked to make sure the numbers are consistent--I don't know what the problem is).
And then while it's in the main part of the code, if I replace the anim command with a pose command, it ignores it again.
Is there a bit of code that tells it to check to see if it's falling or not, or something like that, that I need to put in to make it work? Because otherwise I'm stumped.

I think
should say "do this if you're not falling".
Try putting the anim commands in the drop and pick up scripts?
Have you tried Don's Bootstrap V2? It has the C3 bootstrap, but most of the scripts are commented a bit.

That's what the Creatures Wiki says. Putting it in the drop/pickup scripts doesn't work either, for some reason.
Would Bootstrap V2 work for Docking Station? That's what I have to work with.

Well, you wouldn't have the images to go with it... Have you decompiled TwilightCat's Rainbow Shroom at all? It should be fairly similar to the normal fungi in its code.

Well, I figured it out. I tried using the code from the mushrooms, but came back with the same problem--the game simply would not accept the anim command. What really stumped me was the fact that the mushrooms worked in pretty much the same way as my own object, and the mushrooms worked just fine. But I have finally figured out what the problem was.
The number of sprites stated in the creation script for the vendor must include all of the sprites used by both the vendor and whatever objects it creates. That was the only problem. I changed the number of sprites listed in the vendor's creation script from 1 to 5 and it worked perfectly.
Still, thank you for all your help. I know I get myself into a lot of trouble coding things. #o.o#

No worries. Thanks for posting up what went wrong, so that we'll know for next time. I look forward to playing with your agent.
