Hey yall i was wondering if anyone could help me with this

ENUM 4 0 0
doif cage <= 4
TARG norn DEAD
NEXT


for some reason i get the error token "next" next with enum/ETC...

but this works:

NEXT

If you've got a doif statement, don't you need an endi statement to close it off?

doif cage <=4 wont kill

doif cage >= 4 will kill eggs and other norns

Please use the little yellow pencil button to edit your posts rather than double-posting.

In a doif statement, we have different options:
EQ = (equal)
NE <> (not equal)
GT > (greater than)
GE >= (greater than or equal to)
LT < (less than)
LE <= (less than or equal to)

Have you tried using the letters rather than the symbols?

Also, looking at my CAOS documentation (you can get this by following the instructions on the Creatures Wiki), it seems that the NORN command sets TARG to the current norn, which undoes the ENUM, which makes the TARG apply to all norns. Try removing NORN from your code and seeing what happens. :)

DOIF CAGE GE 4

yes i tried that the command goes completely red and wont work still

for some reason when i inject this cos it kill whatever i have selected no matter the age and wont search out another creature

as far as I can tell, life stage 4 is the adult stage, not the old stage.

since wolf mate screws up your breeding norns my GWR group wanted me to just make a basic code to kill old norns

but since i have made the basic cos script i am probally gonna make an image for it with connections so you can hook it up to a timer or im just going to put in a caos timer and let it just be:

ject "old.cos" 4

Probally the later but who knows i got sometime on my hands befor i go back to college

Ight so i gusse i still need help!!! lol

Ok i spent some time trying to get an image with it but said screw it so im makeing a background agent

The only problem is i cant get the timer to work.

When i gave up on that i tried to

Loop
Wait 5000
Ever


This crashes the game

so can anyone help me with my timer cause i didnt expect the loop to crash my game lol

heres what i got so far:

wait 100
ever


This loop command will not work and i have tried:

P.s. does anyone know how to make a agent that has a classifer but still runs in the background with no image to deal with in the caos file so i can still use the remove agent?

Hum, I don't know. At least you've got the basic code right (the bit that kills all your oldies) so that it can be injected as you please.

Have you seen Vampess' useful scripts? She's written one which removes dead bodies quicker than normal.

ya i got that but its for wolfing runs so our group can leave their comps running in fast tick for a couple of days and it will speed it up i will try looking at other agents for ideas

A toy is perhaps more doable than an automatic checker, though. Alternately, you could investigate object variables and the WAIT command.

I have made several invisible agents that I use as emitters and to control environmental agents mostly.

You just use the image "blnk.c16" found with DS in Images. The image 1 will show your agent as a red box. Use that to position it where ever you want it to be and then switch it to use image 0, the black box.

Code suggestions: Place the tick 1000 up in the install instead of in the timer and try it without the inst.
