what versions do you already have?
I'd say go for Creatures trilogy - C1,2, and 3.
And personally, although c1 was my favorite for ever and ever, I think C2 still rocks :p But both are entirely unlike DS/C3... so it depends on what you prefer. I never liked DS/C3. Sooo I don't know how useful this comment really was. C2 is a spiffy game. Just kinda buggy...

it's hard to get the norns to eat but when you do you get all excited. You can't pick them up (only if they fall in water) or drag them. but there are some downloads that can help you with those problems

I thought that the ability to drag norns was the most annoying thing ever. In DS i mean. They are independent creatures afterall, and for the most part whether they choose to follow you or do what you tell them is a matter of choice. And should be that way.
my 2 cents on the matter.
...so go C2!

There was a 'push' hand. I didn't use it very often, but I think it turned creatures the direction you pushed them. My norns were generally obedient enough to simply come when I asked.
Creatures 2 Deluxe was my first and favorite game of the series. I rarely encountered any of the errors I know the rest of the community saw and all but one of my norns ate without a problem. The most prominent error was with the norns getting into a 'wall bonking' phase. But I never had it last very long.
I'd say it's a great buy and I wish more people would develop for it. |

There is also the blueberry cheat (It's better since the life kit comes with creatures 2 and the Coconut Grove cheat upsets it somehow)(for more, go to creatures wiki)

C2 is pretty nifty when it's not crashing. Shouldn't it be pretty cheap by now, anyway? Amazon says... super cheap. I don't know much about the re-released versions, though.
It definitely has one of the nicest worlds in the series, even if I'm a C3/DS fan myself. Even better now that the lifepacks are free. They were nearly impossible to find before, I only had the first one because I got deluxe edition. |

Creatures 2 is awesome! That's why my first norn breed is for it.
I like C2 best, because I like the challenge. |

Awww... Gryph you looked it up on Amazon just for me? You're so sweet.
Sorry.
I'd like to know all about it. If I get it and it sucks then I might blame the gang here at creaturescaves (and you don't want that to happen, now do you).

If you're up for a challenge, creatures 2 is best.
The norns are rather dumb, but their facial expressions are funny enough to keep the game going! |

Well, I'll consult my dad to get it for me...

Be warned- i've notices some norns in my game suffer from Depression when they get older. Don't worry though- if you find it, a good injection of DRD (drive reducing drug) helps.

The Albian Years is certainly worth having, especially for comparison with the other games
The C2 world is such a vast place to explore, although you do need to download all the best cobs for it first.

like draconorn said... gameware website.. click 'shop'
Or try amazon.com. I doubt you'll find it in a store in person, the internet is your best bet for C2.

You can find the Creatures Mall here:
http://www.gamewaredevelopment.co.uk/cart/
You can always send Lisa (from Gameware) a message to see if she has any copies of The Albian Years in stock.

I found Creatures 2 in a charity shop yesterday, for £1.00!
Just goes to show that if you shop around you'll eventually find what you're looking for. |

I got C2 off of eBay, and I got it for 1 cent! However, shipping was $4.99, making it $5.00 total.

you've been planning on getting it since November. Isn't it time to beg dad and promise you'll do dishes and stuff? I mean this has been in the works for so long, act on it, woman. Use those persuasion powers..
