Last month I was looking into the intro cinematics for the series, and I realized some of the YouTube uploads were in pretty grody shape, so I wanted to get them up somewhere a bit more stable. In the process, I realized that the DS intro video maybe never got distributed at all- the only upload I could find was watermarked with the artist's portfolio branding, from a site that had gone down quite a few years back. I think it may have been intended for inclusion with DS but dropped for filesize reasons.
So I got in touch with the artist, Nathan Thomas, who was the lead artist for Docking Station. He very kindly provided the DS intro cinematic as well as the other concept work from his old portfolio! I'm working on getting that shared in a nicely accessible way. For now, here's the intro videos on archive.org:

Oh, wow! This is excellent! I'm going to show these off to my friends. They see me playing Creatures all the time, but have never seen the opening videos.
It also might be good to put it into the Wiki pages for each of the games, if the files aren't too huge.

These are super cool! I remember seeing the norn being trapped part of the DS intro (and incorporated the flower into my CCSF art for this year) but I didn't see the rest of it. Wonder why they decided to drop the theme of "insect incidentally reactivates abandoned laboratory" for c3 and ds haha

Yo, awesome! I was looking for the C2 intro just the other day. And man, does that C1 intro bring back memories... |

These were amazing to watch. Oh my goodness the hit of nostalgia from the Creatures 1 and 2 intros though! It’s like living a little piece of my childhood again. |

All this time, I forgot to thank you for uploading these. Always nice to be able to find them in other parts of the web. They're such great intros, and the one for the original Creatures might just be one of my all-time favourite video game intros.
