wild norns?

has anyone ever encountered these? i spent countless hours on my C1 game, and i distinctly remember seeing two of them in the many years i spent playing on and off.

one was a male banana norn who was already at pensioner status, and i found him up in the treetops. another was a female, also banana norn, i think i found her down in the temple.

i believe i saw one "feral" norn in C3 as well but can't remember. i was very shocked by this. can't remember if i was allowed to select them or not.

has this ever happened to anyone else? like i said it only happened a couple of times despite me playing frequently for years. i'm not sure if they're just an exceedingly rare event or what.

You either dreamt this, or someone laid an egg that you didn't find until a few hours after it'd already hatched and been living unsupervised.

Maybe you installed the Norgrens? They're grendels with the appearance of norns, so they could be your 'wild norns'.

It's a known issue with the C3 grendel layer that they will lay eggs from any genome that starts with 'G'. If a norn genome starts with 'G', it might be randomly hatched as well. I can remember having a world where that happened. It kept picking the norn genomes by accident, so I had several extra norns, before it finally picked a few grendel genomes and stopped laying eggs. Or was that the Ettin layers & the letter 'E'?

Both, that's why it's always best to start your genome names with "norn", "gren" or"ettn".
