General Forum Idea - VIP/Star User Levels    Julia      8/9/2006 As well as the member, moderator, administrator and manager user levels, maybe we could also have "Star" or "VIP" levels? For members that participate a lot on the site. ^_^   Jacob   8/9/2006 There was once something a similar group called staff members, but Rascii removed as no one was using the powers they had very often. The mods serve a purpose, they run the show and make sure everything goes smoothly. Other than that, there's no need to seperate and segregate members. What would these star members do, other than have a star? Members can already get some small rewards, afterall 'titles' are given to members with good behavior and participation. I thought the staff member position was actually quite good, if only because it showed some recognition of an individual. This is a small place though, and everyone gets to know each other quite easily. Way back when the site opened, there were a handfull of people who searched the community high and low for daily news. Now, no one posts news except for me. Unless it's about themselves. So selfish! I do afterall miss seeing more cobs.
