General Forum CCSF 2014 C1 Mystery Feral Run   1 | 2 Wee Scrivener Trell        10/30/2014  4 All aboard the bandwagon, woohoo! Sorry, I won't be able to take creature requests like the other runs. I have no idea what's inside any of these eggs, so this one will be a bit different! Everyone likes a mystery, right? The winner of the run will get their pick of the babies of the run, and the rest will be used in a future interactive breeding project. So without further ado, we begin! ***** (A rather frazzled looking Shee runs over to greet you.) Oh! Hello there! Are you here for the field trip? Yes! The field trip! All the way back to Albia, in celebration of a Handish festival commemorating the charming creatures that originated there. Isn't that exciting? Now, we just have to- wait, don't touch that! Hold on- No, please d- That's the t- *CRASH* Oh, oh dear me... We've certainly landed on Albia, but oh goodness, when? (When the dust clears, you turn to view the quiet world about you. It looks as if you've crashed into some sort of garden. The hum of machinery draws you into a cosy, if dusty little lab, with a small, lonely pile of eggs growing cold beside a beeping machine.) Sweet mother of marzipan, why, this must be Albia as we abandoned it so long ago! Our crash must have started up the genetic processors and churned out a bunch of Norn eggs... We can't just leave them here, can we? I think I've an idea. (The Shee turns to regard you intently, after haphazardly scrawling numbers on the egg shells.) I will post updates though! Also, if anyone's Norn has a debilitating mutation when they get hatched, (child of the mind, severe gait mutations, etc.) I will hatch a new Norn for them. Likewise, I've got a couple spares in the run (Bubper, for example) who will stand in case anyone's Norn has a mutation that gives them an unfair advantage (such as not needing to eat). Isn't this exciting? They're all off to a great start, save for Alex. >< Unfortunately I ended up exporting her and it won't let me import her, so condolences to HavenHoney, I'm terribly sorry. She informs you of their progress with excitement.) Great progress so far! They all seem to be adjusting to life quite well, though a few seem adamant on not eating. (She glances in the direction of Ron and MoonPie, both of whom seem to be hovering around 30%...) Aside from some unfortunate dieting, they appear quite intelligent and have yet to sample the Death Cap down there, though that seems to be Zero's new hideout. So long as she doesn't munch that mushroom! Maybe you should join Mad Twig in the trees. Casper is rather fond of Hootch, hopefully that won't have an effect on his brain development, the naughty boy. Randomness and Byrane seem rather sensible though, staying near the incubator. And so musically inclined, too! Alpha and Sev have decided to take an island vacation with our charming neighbourhood Grendel. Hopefully they'll come for supper soon. Storm and Lucky 13 have all taken firm residence in the garden with the Carrot Beetles, so they definitely have the advantage of food. The only concern lies in Creek and Serenity, or rather their apparent lack of need to eat. A closer look into the science kit shows seemingly self sustaining glucose and glycogen levels... I'll have to keep an eye on those two. (And with that, the Shee resumes her scribbling with abandon.) They appear to be refusing food. (The Shee turns to you, worried.) Do we bring them food? Carrots or honey? Trell "Holy crap in a casket!"   Wee Scrivener Trell     11/11/2014 Congratulations, Alpha, Serenity, and Byrane, who are all pregnant with the first eggs of the run! Things are looking a bit dire for Alpha though... With only 9% life force remaining, she might not live to lay her egg... Is there any way to get the egg out in the case of death? Not far behind her are Sev and Casper with 6% and 8%, respectively. Byrane too has been ailing, with 22%... Dear oh dear, things are not looking good here on Albia!
