Standard Web Site - 22%
Other - 2% (One vote for whatever format works best for the coordination team.)
It looks like the first two weeks in November will be the best time for the majority of people! The sort of site for the CCSF 2013 was a bit varied, but I think Rascii has the talent to bring together many blog and standard web site elements on Creatures Caves. Besides, this has become the major hub of activity lately, and it seems quite fitting to host the CCSF here!
The main question is the theme: Darby and I spoke about how these choices might have been a little too broad. We'll be hosting a second survey starting later this week and running through June. This will allow people to choose a general theme and suggest a more specific theme within that category. This will hopefully either give us a final choice, or narrow down the results to a quick survey between a few choices.
Thanks again to everyone who has posted already! The coordination team (Darby, Ghosthande, Laura, and myself) will start our super secret behind-the-scenes discussions soon. Let's all make the CCSF 2013 an amazing one!

This is so great! How amazing it would be to be able to release real stuff for the CCSF this year. I'll do what I can to get there. |

I am very happy with these results. To host the CCSF 2013 here would be very exciting, and a welcome change, I think (if Rascii agrees); I can't think of anywhere better, given that Creatures Caves is our main community hub these days!
I feel a lot more confident knowing that they'll be a team of co-ordinators this time, instead of just one person. Surely this means we'll be able to achieve more and create a bigger event than ever with extra people on-board. Roll on the next survey and the rest of our planning!
I'd also really like to hear more from our main co-ordinator, DarbyDoo, and hear her views on everything so far. |

I'm especially fond of the Ecology theme. It's one of those features that make Creatures worlds appear more realistic, and adds that level of depth to the AI and AL. |

I'm very happy with the results! It'll be a long wait until this November though, but I'm excited to see what fun is in store and to hopefully share my own projects with the community as well |

I think it'll be well worth the wait!

The wait only allows people sufficient time to complete their projects. This work takes a lot of time, so it's needed. |

Ecology is an interesting and broad topic but I agree that it is perhaps a little too non-specific. Then again, you could use ecology as the overall CCSF theme and then have more specific ecology-based themes for individual days.
I do wonder how my CCSF project will fit with the theme/s though...

No matter what the theme, I'm sure we'll figure out a way to incorporate it somehow! The theme usually just provides a bit of direction for the whole festival, but releases can be all over the place: Even if we end up with an ecology theme, something like a brick wall agent can be incorporated!

Brick wall agent. Let your stressed Creatures whack their heads on it in anger for relief of stress! When pushed, reduces stress, reduces anger, but gives pain and slight injury.

Alternatively, it could be a brick wall decorative agent for garden box. It comes complete with graffiti decorative agents to complete the urban feel!
Alternatively to that alternative, it could be a brick agent that you inject multiples of to make your own brick walls.
Super alternatively and actually kind of on theme, two words: pet brick. If you look after them well and breed your bricks enough, you increase your odds of producing breeze blocks!

Discussion closed: This year's CCSF theme is BRICK!
...
Ha ha! Just kidding. But I do think we now need some sort of brick-related agent to keep this hilarious joke alive! If anyone needs an idea for a CCSF agent, there you go!

What about a breed that looks like marble to live in our lovely brick worlds? Y'know, Statue Norns. >.>
Let's just make the theme Rocks.
I do love the games' ecology. It is a little broad for a theme though. |

Can I help design the logo? I have a couple of Ideas for whatever theme we decide to go with, and I think it would be a fun project to be involved with. |

Ecology - 23%
Classic Creatures - 20%
Genetics - 19%
With this, let's revisit classical Creatures styles *cough*AlbianReGenesis*cough* and fill them with ecology. Someone rewrites the engine in a tiny way that allows every organism in Albia to carry DNA; Creatyres (already done, of course), critters, bugs, plants, fungi etc. This will require the living organisms to be made up of the same body part systems that creatures are, and with a rewrite of the engine already there, we can have it rewritten into enabling us to scale up all image sizes, and have the game shrink them down to suitable sizes when used. This would again make for some awesome splices; bee ettins, anyone? How about grendel/beetle splices?
Now, who takes on that tiny teeny bit of engine rewriting? |

I too would love to see anything to do with ecology included (can't get enough of new and interesting fauna and flora!) and/or 'Classic Creatures', combined with steampunk somehow, to create some oldy-worldy looking addons and artwork. How cool would that be? I can see those two themes merging together really well. |
