type | Living | author | Arnout | updated | 3/1/2018 | version | 1.4 | This agent adds a 'coconot' plot to the Aquatic Terrarium in Creatures 3. At first the nuts might look like apples, but once they are fully grown they'll turn brown, become bigger and become crunchier than them. I always thought it was kind of pitiful that there were no natural food sources on the beach in Creatures 3, so these were nice for a change. There's also a little surprise in them if you wait for the Coconot peel to decay.
Put the file in your Creatures 3/My Agents folder. |

I've updated this agent to improve the population limit checks of both the Coconot and the Pincher Crab. The crabs can't live off of each others' remains as easily now,
and they now require food to reproduce. There's also a limit to how many eggs can be at a place at one time. Crabs should also stop spawning on invalid positions and they take a bit longer to spawn.
Version 1.3: Greatly reduced the chance that any stuff from the Coconots agent gets stuck in the aquarium elevator shaft.

These are really neat. However, I think it might be a good idea to set the crabs to die after a certain amount of time. I had an infestation of them in the Norn Terrarium after bringing a coconot in for my norn to eat (which she didn't!).

I've updated the agent, details are below. If you're upgrading from the old version, make sure that you head into your Creatures 3/Catalogue folder and that you remove "conots.catalogue." If this agent was in use in any of your current worlds, make sure that you remove it and reinject it from the creator in C3 or in the Comms Room in docked DS worlds.
- Fixed a small grammatical error in the catalogue file.
- The crabs that spawn from the nuts have a different approach to their lives now. Instead of thinking "Swarm the beachhead and pinch any that stand in our way!" they'll think "Let's relax on the beach and eat some Coconot peels while we're at it." (They'll breed a lot less frequently.)
By the way, as far as I know the Coconots should work in C3toDS Aquarium as well.
