Keep in mind, like real pizza, these mushrooms won't last forever. Their relatively plain appearance makes them fit in just about anywhere and they are delicious, so just about any creature is sure to enjoy them."

Every time I pick one of these up, I want to eat it.

Weird. I could swear I fixed it in these. Could you try downloading them again?

That's a known bug with the Shelf Mushrooms, probably caused by the same issue.

These don't seem to rot in my worlds. I've just got scads of bad 'shrooms lying about.

Oh, whoops. XD I'll get on that. I addressed that first thing in the morning, so I don't think I had all my cognitive ability yet. Thanks for catching that! Will upload the fix soon.
EDIT: Uploaded. Should be better.

Investigated the new version, and unfortunately it looks like you've changed the wrong sound file - the sound I was talking about was "leat" in the eat script, when the sound file that got changed was "smit" in the drop script.
So the result is crunchy mushrooms that apparently take a bite out of themselves when they hit the ground after being dropped. An amusing mental image, but maybe not what you were aiming for.

Went ahead and did as you suggested and uploaded the new version. I hope it sounds better now.

The sound I recommend using (at least, the one I would have used) is simply "chwp," aka the sound made when a creature eats a piece of cheese.
Using "sndc" instead of "snde" changes the sound around a little to something that might be a little more fitting for these mushrooms.
The Shelf Mushrooms also make a crunchy sound, though for them it's a little more believable since I believe real mushrooms like that are a bit on the firm side.

I'd be happy to change that, if you have a sound you'd like to recommend in its place.

One thing kind of bugs me about these: they're mushrooms, and fairly soft looking ones at that. Yet they make a crunchy sound when eaten for one reason or the other.
