type | Tool | author | Amaikokonut | website | [view] | The Magic Words Room Edits module is an immensely powerful and useful tool for C3/DS! What does it do? Well, basically everything needed to fix metarooms! It gives a player control over defining room types, room boundaries, and CA links. Some metarooms have problematic areas, or missing CA links, that make them difficult to enjoy. With Magic Words Room Edits, just a few small changes can turn an unusable metaroom into a perfect one! This is also useful for linking together different areas with portals that have correct CA links. The commands include:
- DMap: Toggles the debug map on or off to show room boundaries
- RType: Toggles an option to show what type of room the hand is in
- DoorR [#]: Sets the boundary of a room wall from 0 (open) to 100 (closed)
- DoorD [#]: Sets the boundary of a room floor from 0 (open) to 100 (closed)
- Room Type [type]: Changes the type of room the hand is in to a chosen type
- Find CA Links: Creates colored dots showing the location of CA links
- Hide CA Links: Hides the colored CA link dots
- Make CA Link: Creates a new CA link in the room the hand is touching (Use this command twice in two different rooms to create a proper CA link)
- Break CA Link: Destroys the colored CA link dot the hand is touching (And its corresponding twin in the other room it used to be linked to)
WARNING: This is a very powerful tool, and should be used carefully. Removing CA links can cause Creatures to become confused about navigating, and using them incorrectly can also be confusing. Also be aware that changing a room type has consequences. Make sure to read this article from Amaikokonut that provides some excellent information about CA links!

I just wanna say how helpful this was with my C12DS testing runs. There are areas where full grown adult norns are so tall they clip onto some overhands and wind up on top of them. This has let me edit those parts to prevent that from happening. This is especially helpful around the ettin temple that seems to cause issues with norns getting trapped on one side of it. Thanks for this!

C12DS only has CA links at world wraparound.
Use this to fix that, and the norns there suddenly seem SO MUCH SMARTER.

I highly recommend toggling DMap while placing CA links. It really helps the placement.
