I've been trying to figure out what the problem could be, and naturally, not a lot of ideas came to mind. The Gaius download includes the gaia.catalogue file. If you had it installed before, did you overwrite it with this version? Mine is dated 11-15-2011. There are also several sound files included with the download, though I don't think these would be the cause of the problem. I know I'm grasping at straws here, but I'm hoping I hit on something so that the Gaius crashing ends! | |||||||

Mine's the CFE breeding .cos with a couple modifications (the tweak to let eggs hatch in water, and the bit to make Banshee eggs use their special mask spliced in), and I went into where the crash was happening in rather exhaustive detail in the forums. I don't recall hearing kissing, but I guess it could have crashed before playing the sound. | |||||||

I've changed the cos file and they seem fine on Capillata, but as soon as I take them onto the Shee Ark(docked world) I get the problem again. Not quite sure what effect my edit may have had, but I know they at least have separate egg sprites now. | |||||||

I'm a little nervous about my world now! I had a test run of Gaius going for a decent amount of time, filled with plenty of egg production and no errors. Probably completely not correct, but could there maybe be a sprite/body data file missing? Sounds more like the action causes the problem, but I haven't encountered this before and wish I had some better ideas! | |||||||

I tried the CFE one, my game crashes when geats kiss  Hmm, I might have a look into a breeding.cos I know allows geats to breed, (from mummy's creatures) I just hope I can combine with with the CFE one somehow. I have no idea, but I never will if I don't try. | |||||||

Good question. I actually have no idea which breeding.cos file I have installed... I believe it's got multiple modifications to it. What does the CFE file do again that may or may not affect geats? Maybe that will jog my memory! | |||||||

The mystery was solved! They actually weren't becoming infertile: They were just so uninterested in breeding with one another that I assumed it was a fertility issue. This update fixes that issue! | |||||||
