type | Genetics Only | author | KittyTikara | updated | 7/5/2013 | website | [view] | Normally, swimming Creatures have a fairly hard time laying an egg, and sometimes won't lay one at all. The Astro Tetras are a bit different, and are CFE Norns. They have an extra organ, the swim bladder, that allows the female to lay her eggs like a normal Norn would. Females will get tired, temporarily loosing the ability to swim. Once they lay their egg, they will be able to swim again. Other then that, they push critter instead of toys, and shouldn't get crowded at all. They also might follow each other like real Tetras.
Included are some starter norns, a few gen 3s, and the .gen/.gno file.
Sprites are the Astro Norns and Aqua Norns. Feel free to use the organ in your own breed. |

I updated the description when I posted the link. Plus I checked the download before posting the link, he hasn't updated it yet. Though it is nice to know that's what the updated thing means, I had sort of wondered about that.

You can see next to the 'posted' section, there's the original date the Astro Tetras were posted - underneath that there is 'updated', with today's date - unless you've altered it yourself, it's likely that Rascii has updated it already.

I did, I just got impatient. I'm just not always good at waiting. x_x

If you send a PM to Rascii, he can fix it for you, so that the version on Creatures Caves is the updated version.

The one hosted on Creature Caves is the one that gets stuck all the time. The one on mediafire is an updated one that hopefully fixes them getting stuck/crowded all the time.

Is there a problem with the copy hosted on Creatures Caves, KittyTikara? Is the one on MediaFire better?

Please use the download link for the latest version of these guys. The old version of these guys would retreat once and be stuck like that forever. The new version is much better, and shouldn't get stuck(hopefully ever). They also now follow each other around like real Tetras, when they feel like it anyway. X3

I may take you up on that offer and use the organ if I make any swimming breeds! Very clever!
