One of the agents that I got a request to do alternative artwork for was the C3/DS Aquaplant! c:

I actually was going to make it into a pixel version of a vallis spiralis plant, but remembered that those are freshwater! After an adventure of trying to find a flowering saltwater plant (since seaweed and primitive marine plants don't flower), about the only thing I could come up with was the red mangrove tree. They don't usually grow fully submerged during their whole lifespan, but considering that the Aquaplant is quite tall, in shallower pools it may naturally peek over the surface like a real mangrove plant!

I'll probably try and recompile this agent myself sooner or later, after I decide if I want to make more alternate forms for the different metarooms that Aquaplants inject into!!
