WIP Norn Base Art Rha | 8/5/2015 | 5 | I'm making a low poly (hah... still 2000+ tris, low poly isn't my thing) base for Norns. Not sure yet how I'll do the face, fur and the tail and such... |

Thank you! You use blender?

oooh, I don't do zbrush, but I tend to go a little overboard with all the edges everywhere and then I spend an eternity optimizing. But I really enjoy optimizing so I don't mind ^.^;
you can do it Rha! I never worked with 3d studio, but I believe in you!

It's just that I often like to begin making an organic model in Zbrush and when I'm happy with the general volumes I retopologize in 3D studio. This one is made entirely in 3D studio, I'm going to try out hair and fur again, I really struggled with it last time haha ;_;

Thanks Doringo! Yeah I'm going for a bit of a mix, I'd like it to be fluffier than the CO ones and have a cute tail.
Xan, yeah you're right the eyes need to be lowered, they're not final though, I tend to make half orbs because I use two (one for the cornea). Either way I'm not sure how low is low, I'm soon going to start working at a mobile games company and I fear I'll have to make 500 tris models hahah...Never done that low before ;_;

I dunno, it looks pretty actually-low-poly? I might be biased from making so much mid-to-high poly work- it looks like most of your tri count is in the eyeballs, but I could be wrong. And if you're going to be rigging the hands, you kind of need the tri count to be a bit on the high side anyway.
You could also be, like, hiding a thousand polys in the butt.
either way, it's looking cool so far excited to see what it looks like textured up!

Very interesting! It greatly resembles the Creatures Online style of norns, but seems to lean towards creatures 2 with the large ears. Also I'm liking how the eyes are turning out.
