Y'know, I heard of this game somewhere but I thought it was just another survival game where you try not to get killed by the dinos, but upon finding out that you can also tame them and ride them (and possibly breed them in the future), it suddenly seems a lot more interesting.  |

It's just a pity it's so time intensive. I'd love to start a CC tribe, but it would be hard to keep on top of two games. In the future, if my current tribe/unofficial server stop playing, I'll definitely consider it, maybe when official servers have fewer hacking problems. |

I know it's only somewhat related to the thread at hand but Saurian is just one of those games that fills me with pure unfiltered joy and excitement (thus I really hope it actually gets completed). Actually, both Ark and Saurian remind me of just why I love dinosaurs; the sheer shock and awe, the train of thoughts that have you pondering what exactly their actual honest to earth behavior was and so on. Obviously both games have a ways to go but in Ark oh man, one could just be doing some decent exploring when all of a sudden you see a Utahraptor hunting off some distance away. Now because you're not at all prepared to tango with raptors, your exploration is interrupted by the need to keep an eye for any of its packmates. So while you're occupied with getting away safely, a pair of Dilophosaurs sneak up on you and get their venom in. They manage to kill you because they landed enough venom to really hamper you and now you respawn with no belongings because it was all on the previous body. That's mostly a hypothetical situation but the Dilopho scenario actually did occur to me. Only it was an entire pack of Dilos that surrounded me because I hadn't been able to see them so when I respawned I made the trek to get my items back and get revenge. Succeeded on the latter but took a while to actually find my stuff. Also can I just say I'm really hyped for the Direwolf update? I'm going to run rampant trying to find the best coat variations and tame an entire army of them. |

ah, well. it wasn't all that amazing either, the official servers have the difficulty way too high. I play on a server that has 2x taming speed so even the toughest animals take less than two hours, but some people play at like 10x the taming speed |

I don't mind having to spend time to get stuff done. Someone just told me I'd need a very high end pc tho, is this so? Mine's ok, it can run almost all modern games on high but it's already a few years old so : / |

it used to be really bad at release, but now you can run it fine. I could only run it with everything on low quality, but now it looks gorgeous just 3 weeks of patches later. my pc is 4-5 years old. |
