I figured this issue has evolved enough from my last one to warrant a new tab for clarity. I have creatures exodus installed (along with the offline patch) and have sorted out the color bit issue. I can run just docking station alone but when I try to run creatures 3 I get this error,

"The game could not be started due to a direct draw error.

Windows NT/2000 6.2 build 9200 ()
OriginalDisplay DirectX (no modules)
Thu Jan 31 20:52:29 2019 - 19084 - 2.296"

When I try to install the patch to dock the two games I get a message that creatures 3 is either not installed or not installed properly. I don't know why this is the case or what this error means. Any idea on how to fix it?

If you have Creatures Exodus you don't need to install the patch, you should have the option to choose to dock with the Creatures 3 Ark when you run Docking Station and create a new world.

As for Creatures 3 running, I'm afraid I have no idea. But to be honest, there's really not much point playing C3 by itself as the Docking Station engine is far superior, and docking it with the Capillata (DS starship) will give you all the C3 bioenergy you could ever need.

Apart from Eat Elevator Syndrome. :P Which is really only relevant if you're doing wolfling runs, otherwise, yes, the DS engine is superior. But still.
