Why is Life Force on C1 never 100%?

In C1, life force is roughly an indicator of your creature’s health. Anything above 70% is said to be ideal, with 25% being severe, 10% being critical, and 0% being death.

However, in all the years I’ve been playing C1, I’ve never seen the Life Force meter at a full 100%. Why is this? Is the remaining percentage reserved for important body functions?

i think there's no way for the life force to go above 80% or so in normal norns because it's based off the amount of glycogen, which is used up in small amounts whenever the norn does anything, basically

you CAN get 100% life force if you make/download a norn that produces abnormal amounts of glycogen, or feed it a COB that injects glycogen into it directly

There can be only ONE!

*cough*, I mean, life forces of 100% can be achieved through a mutation: perhaps you're using a genome where that gene has been set to non-mutable.

So that 20% or so of extra life force is used for everything the Norn does, basically?

Also... glycogen, the indicator for health is in equilibrium with glucose, and it switches back and forth.

So there is always a portion of glycogen missing as it is in glucose form.

The only norns that have 100% health are immortals
