Just bought/downloaded Creatures Exodus via GOG site yesterday...now after browsing many old blogs and sites I see patches/mods for the first version of the game (Creatures 1), and wondered if they would work for all versions, or only the specific version in their title? For example I found a patch/mod that makes Grendels friendly and would like to know if it would work with the 'Exodus' version of the game I purchased through GOG? http://creaturescaves.com/downloads.php?section=COBs&view=771 Thank you for your time and assistance. |

Sadly no, the one in the link only works with C1 and not any of the other versions. If you want however for example friendly grendels for C3, I bet there are enough genetic breeds that are friendly towards norns and ettins, hope I could help  "Vision is the art of seeing what is invisible to others" -Jonathan Swift |

Creatures 1 isn't a different version of Creatures Exodus; it's a different game entirely. Exodus is Creatures 3 + Docking Station. As such, you'll want to look for Creatures 3/Docking Station when looking for addons. Creatures 1 addons and Creatures 2 addons will not work, as C1 and C2 coding is different from C3/DS. Grendel Friendly specifically is unnecessary in C3/DS; the default C3 grendel is aggressive due to its genetics, rather than any scripting like in C1. Risen Angel's Creatures Blog |
