Question about KT/Sabertooth Norns | |

So, after perusing the forums I noted that the sabertooths like to eat Critters, and that crabs and crobsters will work. However, before I infest my awesome prehistoric world with crustaceans, is there a fun alternative if I get the Spells working right? Like, do any of them generate things the sabers will like eating? I'm putting the right things in the cauldron, but nothing seems to happen. If you're uncomfortable spoiling a nine-year-old metarooms gameplay secrets, then at least give me a hint! I really love this metaroom, and the Sabers are adorable! |

Funny, I recently just played with this materoom again! Can't say that I'm an expert on it, but I did experiment with the cauldron recipes as well.
I'm afraid that the birds are the only edible critters that come with the default metaroom - If you drop a bone and ice shard in the cauldron, the left area of the room changes into Ice Age flora and fauna, which features fuzzy mammoth-like creatures, but I'm not sure if those are edible or even classified as critters, since they're pretty large.
Dropping an amber and an ammonite in the cauldron will add edible plants to the world, while an amber and a fish bone will cause giant carnivorous plants to spawn in the t-rex area (those plants are hella dangerous by the way, you may not want to have those).
Hope that was helpful in some way! ^^ |

Thanks for replying, Linda! I was having trouble because I wasn't clicking the fire under the cauldron. I've noticed that the sabers like eating rhino beetles, if anyone needs the exact agent I can post it later, as I'm mobile atm. Does the ammonite warp in randomly, btw? I don't see it anywhere, unfortunately. |

So if anyone knows, I'm having another issue: are norns able to hit the rexes? I've noticed that a single slap sends the dinosaur running, but I've lost several creatures to these stupid things, despite screaming "hit beast" and "hit rex". If not, then the only way to do a wolfling run in KT is by turning off the Rexes carnivorous tendencies, but that's no fun. Anybody know anything about this? |

The ammonite appears randomly at the waterfall, I think.
Can't really say much about the rexes, since I usually disabled their carnivorous behaviour completely (or left it turned on when I felt like a WR needed some extra challenge). No idea if creatures can actually defend themselves against these things! |

Yes, I think creatures are able to hit the Rexes: they have a BHVR of 11, which allows creatures to push, pull and hit them.
