Help Forum Help with a few things...    Carminechimera      7/28/2017 Now that I have C3 and DS working together, I've run into some new issues with my Norns. Oddly, the Ettin abominations I have been making are thriving... anyway. STARCH. Still having an issue with Norns complaining that they're hungry for starch. The ones in the Meso eventually get the idea that they can find and eat the seeds there, but everyone else on the ship is just constantly searching and complaining. Are there any vendors out there that make a food with a moderate amount of starch? I have the chocolate coffee beans, but I don't know the nutritional content of those. The game says they're seeds though, so I'm trying it since I have some vendor-happy Norns. Speaking of those beans, I added them to my ship hallways because my Hardmans have a bad habit of going to the potion vendor and thinking they'll get something nice out of it. Isn't there an edit out there that prevents Norns from spam-pressing that vendor, thinking they will get food out of it? I need that badly. I'll see if I can think of anything else but the constant starch hunger is the main issue. I had a few Norns that would still complain even after getting seeds in their diet, so I'm at a loss. I'll try the colored seeds vendor and see if my Hardman Norns will bite. They're the vendor-happy ones from my wolf run, leaving potions everywhere. Iffy about ones that have to grow as they get eaten into extinction if I walk away for more than ten minutes, it seems. Also trying Mossy Shee's tree. Most of my worlds have about 15 Norns, spread out over the ship. Also, what nutrients do the Popping Pappus and Arkwood Creeper provide? I have those and they're super numerous, but I'm unsure if that will be good in the long run. I seem to remember the creepers being high in protein too. What does the agent help say?   Carminechimera   7/28/2017 Uses the words "great food", "variety of nutrients" and the hand says it's a "food" when examined. So... I'm really not sure. I expected it to be a fruit, but I guess not. I never really used them before because they're SO bouncy that they often dropped off and my Norns lost interest in chasing the pellets to eat it. They're chase it a bit and if they couldn't catch it, just default to eating Tuba instead. Tuba is Ultimate. I don't think the patch plants can go extinct.   Carminechimera   7/29/2017 I don't think I can get Garden Box to work with my GoG creatures, but I DID consider it. I may play with it on a day when I have more patience to try. Genetics Kit woes has me annoyed tonight. Right now I seem to have solved the issue (perhaps temporarily) with the bread basket. That seems to be keeping them happy, so long as they snatch it up before it gets moldy. I'm thankful my Norns and Ettins seem to really like vendors, as I could not say the same for some of my old groups on my last computer. Those guys wouldn't ever try dispensers, or would forget to use them over time. Haven't had a complaint since I set that down, along with the coffee beans around the problem areas of the ship/meso. We'll see. Sometimes it just sort of becomes a loop of complaining even when their starch levels are fine, but I got rid of those offenders this morning. It may have just been a mutation causing the craving with that group; I don't have the skills to check it out. Anyway- problem fixed for now! "Gob swear- if me see ONE more potato in house..."   Lurhstaap     7/30/2017 GoG Creatures works fine with most add ons and such in my experience TBH. I haven't had many problems along those lines.
