I did a Wolfling Run in one of my worlds while I showered, and I came back to something along the lines of this, but related to speech bubbles.

After I closed that, the Norns don't have any speech bubbles when they talked, and I couldn't even quit the game, because the quit button threw an error the first time and then stopped working entirely. Same thing with the About button. The creature selection autokilled when I tried to open it, and I was able to brute-force it into opening up with a few Brutal Ignores, but there were no Norn icons above the names. Trying to open the import menu in the same way crashed the game.

Upon reopening, everything was normal. A makeshift vendor I had constructed with a pulse switch had been activated by a Norn, and it took a solid forty-five seconds of kill-hotsing with the enter key held down to get rid of all the cakes. Could that have had something to do with it? Probably.
